  1. I had the exact same problem when I was around 53k miles. The dealer teddy the check engine light and told me if it happened again they would change the transmission out. He told me that the issue is the CVT was designed for a stronger/bigger car and engine so it has trouble shifting properly in a small vehicle. The very next day it happened again. I am 10k miles on the new transmission and it's starting to happen again... Had I have extended warranty
  2. The metal rattle is coming from the heat shield that covers the power brake booster. It is located on the passenger side if the engine near the front. Mine had the 2 screws shake loose that hold it to a black "L" bracket. The bracket has 2 holes for screws and one for wires to clip too. Mine is afro-engineered with zip ties until I can get to the dealership since I still have 60k left on my warranty. Hope this helps some poor spark-driving -ass-fool until you can get it repair. She wasn't under the influence
