  1. I am not sure about the error as it seems you have old spark which sold parallel to new m300 in India. If you can get the obd adapter and check for any fault code. These Bluetooth based adapter are available online very cheap like 300-400₹. Last option check for service centre, if it's still functional after Chevrolet shutdown.
  2. That's certainly a good practice. In today's cyber world one need to be cautious. Was just reading about ransomware attack on Honda server which stalled their product in many countries. Anyway, just my one cent. You can verify the links by long tap/press on mobile OR right click on link on PC to see where these are directed. Like for this one is directed to Chevy Spark forum only. I usually avoid those short address link like bit.ly/<some junk>. These could be good or bad as these redirected from those short code sites.
  3. Looking at gmpartsdirect.com, these are different. Front https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/auto-parts/2013/chevrolet/spark/ls-trim/1-2l-l4-gas-engine/front-suspension-cat/front-suspension-scat Rear https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-bearing-94535214/?c=Zz1yZWFyLXN1c3BlbnNpb24mcz1yZWFyLXN1c3BlbnNpb24maT1DVzEzNDkwNSZyPSZhPWNoZXZyb2xldCZvPXNwYXJrJnk9MjAxMyZ0PWxzJmU9MS0ybC1sNC1nYXM%3D Still I suggest you confirm with service center before buying OR someone who really did it can tell perfectly.
  4. I drive 2010LS (IN) which identical to 2013(US). It have manual mirror adjust. I had removed once mirror. I used plastic prying tool to pull from the outer side of mirror and it came off. I got a similar video: Pull gently to avoid breaking mirror. It is held with plastic clips. On the outer end it have long clip. I have to look for pics I took, can't go due to lockdown. Process I did and in video are same so I understood that this must be same for your car also. Only difference I can see is, mine outer plastic cover is held with plastic clips unlike screws as y
  5. I feel that is most tedious job to detach the assembly. I too have problem with module, when I turn flow to upward only, it still throwing air on feet. I today tried to pull the control section, while reinstalling my stereo, but that is having short length cables so decided not to try further untill it's really required. The blen module is installed deep inside the dash.
  6. GM have already shut sales in 2017 and recently they sold the manufacturing plant they had for exports, that includes the Sparks. I strange since they moved their Gujrat (IN) plant to Maharashtra (IN) in 2017 and finally in 3 yrs they shut that as well. I feel their Indian top bosses never had a good strategy. Anyway, coming to point they had here Diesel variant with turbo but buying & importing a 4-5 yrs old vehicle doesn't justify you purpose, I guess.
  7. Clutch engaged, do you mean full pressed or released?
  8. Hi, Power lock & window is basic need now, so I will always prefer to go next level. It is good to have factory installed as far I can trust components & seamless integration with car. But now, you already bought manual so to my understanding you can add it without any issue. For door lock you can get any good remote locking kit & for window, power window kits are available. I don't think 2020 have any issue for aftermarket fitting. I am referring with my 2010 LS (India) as previous owner get the remote locking fitted from GM as accessory. This is actually an
  9. I agree, Now car makers should even think option of using wide angle camera to replace the rear view mirror & side mirror. Yes, at start it might be difficult as optics always prefered, but in long run people get to used to. As I remember some sports cars are doing this to reduce the drag created by side mirror by deploying camera in small aerodynamic shell, much smaller than regular mirror.
  10. One more update. I finally added a lamp for rear seat. I bought vw reading lamp (CN copy) and was awaiting for its connector but that lost is transit so I decided to no more 2 month wait for reorder. I used metal female pins and glued them in place. Ran the wire from both door switch in rear and through B pillar and upto the lamp. Made a rectangle cut for lamp. Added direct 12v & chassis ground till lamp from instru panel fuse box. Why I chose the vw lamp, it's small and merging well with Spark's interior. I was thinking it have sliding action to switch between modes but it indee
  11. Finally, got chance to click pics of trunk. There is round pit in trunk, holding spare wheel. Spare wheel have a foam mould holding jack & few tool.
  12. Hi heymak, If it's dashed one with no front presence means it is on board, I mean it's soldered on the board itself and, in general, not serviceable. If it's faulty, GM will certainly ask to replace the complete box. You can check for fuse in instrument panel fuse box. I suggest to focus on fuse, if you find, as that is easy component to damage as well replace. If that is ok, you can check relay by listening to "click" sound it make while working. Unfortunately, I don't have rear wash-wipe so can't suggest exact how.
  13. Hi, may be my understanding is wrong but you have added 2nd connector (or harness) to existing one. And you want to keep both working for now. My idea for this type of situation is instead of cutting original harness, make a extension which have one side connector like a sensor and other side what you have added. This way you can avoid soldering and rest thing also it will be easily understood by any mechanic working on your car, in case. Lastly, it looks neat. I thought this when I was about to use 9005 LED buld while original harness have H8/H11 connector for fog lamp. It's just
  14. Hi, I guess you are confused as space is there but no tyre. This M300 was sold to many countries. Mine is same m300 except it is India spec LS 2010. So what I learnt is Chevy have given spare wheel in some countries (incl. India) while rest (like in US) they gave air compressor & some tyre fixing things with jack placed in a foam donut. I hope this may clarify your doubt.
  15. I have opened the engine bay fuse box and it haven't any active component, as I remember. So that have almost no chance of failure, unless there is some very good short circuit happen. yet in my recent visit to service centre last month, I have seen an old fuse panel/box at customer desk so there could be possibility of damage. If you have guts and good electronic knowledge to take everything out and put it back perfectly, then check for any visible fault on PCB of fuse Box. BTW mine is India spec 2010 LS, closer to 2013US. The board which I have seen could
  16. I don't know about recommend pressure there but this need to consider that it is good with low temperature. With increasing temperature (atmosphere) it should be avoided as tyre itself adding temperature due to friction which directly increasing pressure inside. So if you are living in high heat areas, can think about it. This I am referring with incidents happen here. Best example is Yamuna expressway (India), it's good road, straight so one can easily go above 100kmph for long time and there are more incidents of tyre burst, especially in summer.
  17. I always wonder what GM doing sometimes. In my car (2010 LS, India), the instrument panel have dte, trip duration, avg speed etc onboard but they haven't given a switch, may be costing 1-2$. 2nd like LS don't have fog so I was surprised to see that they have added the harness till fog unit, only missing were fog lamp + inside light stalk with fog switch + small item relay, fuse.
  18. 1st gen of M300 (2010) like mine have this kind of issue (peeling rubber outer) but for gear knob. But steering wheel seems still good even after 9 yrs. May be sunlight & high temp could be a reason. And for me it was awkward to hear from Chevy service centre that the complete shift lever need to be replaced. I mean for 3$ item why one have to pay 25$+.
  19. Finally, got success. I took the 6 screws holding the v shape cover on steering. Tried pulling that slowly. Then stuck as I was not able to pull the top cover. The 4 plastic poles felt as one time fitting in the metal frame. I used the dashboard prying tool (fork shape) to press the poles so these can come out. Again 2 were easy and rest two I took chance to pull forcefully. In short I had to just pull those 4 places. Instead of all jugglery. Inside I feel this is most simple, old school type steering wheel with top & bottom cover. Just 1 wire was going through the wheel to
  20. I guess there could be much different due to the big airbag assembly. As I could peep inside the cover and wheel, I have seen 4 metal contact at those 4 post but as I have seen in YouTube video for volt or sonic it's totally different. Anyway, I am not loosing hope and will do some trial and error. At last if nothing happens, I will try to get info from nearby garage or Chevy service centre as next month I am taking it for annual service.
  21. I want to wrap/paint the small plastic part on steering and want to check for possibility to route wire for steering remote (diy one) for my Sony stereo. As normally that era all siblings got airbags as standard across globe so all video on YouTube are showing how to deal with airbag. BUT mine is not having airbag and it's just a cover. I tried to pull it after looking the inside pic but no results. Anyone across forum have non-airbag variant and tried separating steering cover, please guide me. All I can peep from gap between, is all 4 poles are having metal contact for
  22. I guess you can still do that at own, if you have right tool. Hot glue gun is sceptical as that part is taking much load. The plastic part is torn into two and need replacement. As I remember, that is held by a screw and 2 rivets. I understand rivets are used to avoid any alignment issue. So if you have tool to apply these rivets, it's a easy job. The rivets are like this: After pushing into hole the rod is pulled by tool. The metal part too got good amount of damage. As I think it is held by some bolts and that holds wheel well liner with plastic rivets, those are easy to remov
  23. I hope the vertical part of bumper, which fits on retainer, is saved as that is connected/moulded to rest of bumper with very thin, it's just 1mm, I guess. I am still facing the alignment issue as same place is broken in my car, after one van pulled bumper (inside support, liner and resonator) with its (illegal) bullbar, I can't see that happening as for me it's passenger side.
  24. Kschumake83, It's BEATer only, it was called Beat in India, until Chevy shut it's shops.
  25. The white piece is front bumper mounting bracket and you need to buy bracket along with metal rivets. (Oops, in US that seems to be a retainer) https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-side-retainer-95091641/?c=Zz1ib2R5JnM9YnVtcGVyLWFuZC1jb21wb25lbnRzLWZyb250Jmk9Q1cxMzAxMDUmcj00JmE9Y2hldnJvbGV0Jm89c3BhcmsmeT0yMDE0JnQ9bHMmZT0xLTJsLWw0LWdhcw%3D%3D The metal part is fender itself. https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/auto-parts/2014/chevrolet/spark/ls-trim/1-2l-l4-gas-engine/body-cat/fender-and-components-scat I suggest if you look for GM service centre or loca
