  1. I have an iPhone 6 and a 2016LS. I normally use the charger so I'm in carplay but the few times I've used Bluetooth I've not noticed any problems. 😕
  2. Are you shifting when it tells you to shift? I've found that is way off and ontop of not having power if I listened to that little indicator my gas Mileage would suck. Shift when you feel it not when it tells you. As far as taking off it sounds like you might be letting the clutch out too slow. Try letting it out slow and letting it out faster once you start to give it gas. Meaning, let the clutch out slow, then when you feel the car 'need' gas, give it gas, and let off the clutch faster at that point. If you start to give it gas at the same time, or before, you start to let out the c
  3. I read the first few sentences and said " oh no". That's not how to drive a manual car... I think it is best shown but I'd like to try to explain. First, put the car in 1st. Start the car with the clutch engaged. And let the clutch out slowly and kill the car. Just to feel it. Pay particular attention to that moment when it almost feels like it's going to take off right before it dies. Do it once or twice to feel it. ( make sure you are not parked with a tree in front of your car. It will jerk forward a bit). Now, again start the car in 1st, clutch in, and slowly let the clutch out, th
  4. Today I registered my car (got license plates). And the guy had to call the state treasurer, or some other government agency like that, because I was the first person in all of Nebraska to buy a 2016 Chevy spark LS manual. Lol. They had to verify what it was. 😂😂😂. Made the process take longer but it made me feel special.
  5. Getting locked out sucks, good news is I'm attached to my phone and my onstar app acts as a remote key to unlock the driver door (only). I have the LS manual (so no frills) I can't control the other doors at all. The MyLink controls to change what doors lock is not available on my car 😕 It is on the LT versions, so I've heard.
  6. you can pull it up to lay the seats down for more cargo, just grab the front and pull up. The latch will release and from what I can tell, if you want it all the way out you could unbolt it from that position. I have the 2016 LS
  7. Lol yea, I'm the driver - she is 5yrs old. Independent enough to 'get out her side- herself!' I'm always with her when we are around the car but I have to remind her to lock her door each time. My old car had power locks so she would get out and go. Now I find myself calling her back to lock doors. Not really a big deal; it teaches her some responsibility. 😀 I have all the road side stuff for me- I am likely to lock myself out just as much as her lol. Thanks for the advice.
  8. It works great! I did it at the dealership but they took it off cite to a local car shop that does stuff like this. But I went through the dealer! The aftermarket control knob doesn't match the other knobs and that bugs me but not enough to say "undo it". I'll add a pic when I figure out how. It was put in on the left side of the stealing column just below the control shaft that has the menus buttons on it. (I hope that makes since). I was worried my knee would hit it but it doesn't and I'm tall. So totally worth it for the amount of driving I do.
  9. So, onthe vehicle settings screen I do not have door options. In fact I only have two options, one for my rear camera and one for the lighting. So, I guess I can't control them. 😢 It is a 2016 Spark LT manual transmission. If anyone know how to make the doors 'automatic' I'd love to hear it. Until then, I think I will just have to remind my daughter every day to lock her door. I guess that's what my parents did and it worked for them 😃
  10. I spoke to the dealer today. I was getting my after market cruise control put in - I drive a lot. I asked if I put speakers in, could get the controls to 'fade to back' setup too. He said "no". He said there may be an update sometime on the software, but as of now, I could add them but have no control over them (separate from the front anyway). I want to be able to fade to the back so my daughter can listen to audio books and I don't have to (as loud) if I don't want to. As of now, she complains she can't hear because the spoken word does not carry to the back well. Oh well. I'll write gm an
  11. Thanks! I'll try to find it in the manual. I was not sure what to even look for; thanks for the direction! 😊

  13. I've been using the onstar app but it only lock/unlocks my driver side door. I'd like to know if it CAN control the other doors too. The locks are technically manual but since the app on my phone can control them they are clearly hooked up to something electrical already. I'd like to know if it is just the driver door or all the doors. Again, they all have some electrical elements because when I take off they lock. How much are they programmed to do? can I get a fob? Can I use the app for all of them?
  14. I was wondering if you have an update yet. Thank you.
