I've heard different. I've been using 91 octane non ethanol for a month already and I've noticed the car runs smoother, injectors don't tick as loud, car accelerates a bit better and my gas mileage went from 39 mpg to 43 mpg.

Question, has anyone been on a long distance road trip with their Spark? I'm driving to Texas in a couple of days and from Illinois to Texas it's 15 hours and 1200 miles there. Most I've ever drive with the Spark was an hour and half with a distance of 65 miles one way. This will be my first road trip and first for the Spark. I just bought a full size spare with a new tire, got the alignment done along with fluids checked and the oil changed last month. My spark is a 2014 LS manual with 55k miles.

I just filled up and it costed me $25 at $3.35 a gallon. Its a while $1 more pure gallon for non ethanol.

I have an app called pure gas and have been wondering is it beneficial to use non ethanol gas in my spark? The nearest one near me is 30 minutes away in wisconsin and all the other gas stations only sell non ethanol in 91 octane. My spark currently has been getting 39mpg with temps around 30°F-40-°F. I have my tank near empty ready for the non-ethanol fill up.

I had a Subaru 96 outback legacy 2.5 with a straight pipe and it had the popping sound. Man I love the sound of a Subaru boxer motor. So the car is running great and the acceleration is fantastic.

$9261 2014 LS manual with 22330 miles last June. Currently has 35300 miles. Only issue I'm having is it's saving me money at the pump. Lol. Pay $225/month.

I noticed gas mileage dropped with my k&n filter. Probably because i was giving it more throttle lol. I left the stock one in a currently getting 41 with stock and 39-40 with the k&n.

Later down the road will that muffler cause any back pressure problems?

Well I ended of having a shop install a thrush turbo. Smallest size all auto parts stores had were 2inch. Muffler shop made it work. So far it's still quiet as stock but around 2k-3k it has more drone inside but not bad at all. Left the resonator on. Seems like when I left off the gas pedal it holds the speed and slowly decelerating before with the stock muffler on it would decelerate quickly. Honestly the muffler is still too quiet for me but I'm keeping it on. The muffler has 2 resonated chambers.

Love the spark just wish I can make it a tad louder. I want a muffler that will keep the back pressure whilst making some noise. Currently getting 41mpg here in Illinois. Temps are around 20°. The dealership said it won't void the warranty. Should I remove just the muffler and replace it with a cherry bomb turbo?

I get 43-48 mpg with the 5-speed. 400+ miles per tank. $20 a week! No mods.
