  1. I have around 600 miles on my 2014 spark ls manual. I've noticed 5 or 6 times where I'll be sitting at a stop light (either in 1st with my foot to the floor on the clutch or in neutral) and I'll look down and notice my engine has stalled. It stalls so smoothly I don't feel or notice when it turns off. Any ideas? Anyone else seen this problem?
  2. Agreed. I'm a nice guy, so I'm letting the service manager do his rounds, and the dealer is 2 miles from my house so it's not an inconvenience. But I'm pretty set on new wheels and tires and I'm not settling for less. The good news is he admitted there was a problem, just didn't know how to fix it at the moment (valve stem vs tires or wheels).
  3. Around 54mpg if I am driving to a nearby town (55mph back roads, mostly flat). Around 45mpg around town. I drive it to conserve mileage.
  4. I have a 2012 Honda civic and Honda recommends 10k between changes. I use mobil 1 extended and go the full 15k and don't use a drop of oil. I check it every time I fill up with gas and I have NEVER once had to add oil to that car.
  5. I've had mine for 2 weeks and since day 1 both left tires are leaking about 10psi per day (no punctures). Took it to the dealer and they said they can't find it leaking and told me to check it over the next few days (I've been checking it for the last 2 weeks???). My AC blows cold, trans shifts great, haven't lost a drop of oil. But I do think it's odd that a 0 mile car is having issues holding air in it's tires. Also I noticed the wheels have like 10 wheel weights on each one. I've never seen a wheel so out of balance that it needed that many weights.... That being said, I'm sure they
  6. I've had my 2014 LS for around a week and haven't had any issues with the clutch. My previous vehicle was a Honda cbr250r motorcycle. It had such a small engine that I was already used to reving to the redline in each gear so the switch to the spark was an easy one. As others have said just give it some gas and let it slip a bit when starting off. It's a tiny engine with very low torque, your not going to damage your clutch any time soon.
  7. been 193 mph in a Porsche twin turbo 911. I wasn't driving, but it was fun! We didn't go below 160 for 30-40 minutes. Burned the tank of fuel just about out and covered quite a bit of distance, haha.
  8. I have the manual tranny and I've never felt it kick in. I've tried it on what I thought to be a steep hill and as soon as I release the brake it rolls back as though nothing is hindering it whatsoever. Maybe I need to try a steeper hill, or maybe mine is malfunctioning?
  9. Hello all, I am from Alabama and just picked up a red ls manual last Friday. Loving it so far. I've changed out the stock speakers for kicker 4" up front and 6x9 in the rear.
  10. I paid $11,700 before taxes. After tax and dealer fees it was $12,483 total out the door.
  11. I may stiffen the cover, but it seems to work pretty well as is. I've not had to fold the seats down yet, as I only use this as a second car to get to work, but I can see how it would be a hassle if I needed to fold the seats down.
  12. Hello all, I am the proud new owner of a brand new 2014 Spark LS in red with a manual transmission. I bought the car for the low purchase price (I paid $11,720 before tax) and I've been pleasantly surprised at how fun it is to drive! That being said, the sound system sucked, bad... It was easily the worst sound system I've heard in a modern car. That all changed when I installed a pair of 4" 2 way Kicker speakers in the front and a pair of 6x9 3 way Kicker speakers in the rear. Everything was $135 total for the speakers. I modified the stock cargo cover and cut holes in it so the 6x9 spe
