I'm not sure I want to take any chances getting this car. I'm worried about the reliability aspect and from what I've been seeing on the forum is they're mostly shit. I know a few people got lucky and actually got a good one but seeing as this was a possible first car for me it's now off of my list. I'd probably would feel better considering it in the future if it's still around but I don't know. I think I'll be better off with a Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen TDI or a Passat TDI. Just my honest opinion.

Ok I'll let you know malibuguy. I'm having a bit of trouble finding one that's reasonably priced and close by me. I want the 1LT but I can't seem to find one cheap enough. I'll just have to keep looking I guess...

Damn haha. I knew somebody that had a Cadillac Brougham but I think her's had a 350 with the 700R-4 transmission. If I'm not mistaken it was an 87. That thing had some balls.

Nice! Looks like it's in nice shape too psquare. I actually like older cars better then the newer ones. There's a lot less to go wrong because there's no computers to deal with.

Just out of curiosity malibuguy, are you still having thoughts about putting a turbo on the Spark? If I'm able to get my hands on one, at a halfway decent price, I'd be willing to let you work on it as a test mule for whatever you have in mind. I'd really would like to see what would happen if these things were turbocharged from the factory. Although I would like to get a better transmission than that stupid four speed auto or that even stupider CVT. Maybe a 6 speed auto would work better especially with the manual shift mode.

Ah that makes sense malibuguy. I never really considered that. But I've seen grandpa's go over 60 mph. My dad goes at least 80. And he's doing that in a goddamn Pontiac Sunfire.

Nice. I like those old Deville's. Never understood why they had a goddamned speed limiter in the first place. They still had plenty of power and speed left.
