  1. We are planning on leaving next week for a trip to florida from ohio and back. Any tips or suggestions? Im really stoked about taking my spark on this long road trip, just a bit worried about the kentucky and tennessee mountains.
  2. Fellow buckeye here, congrats on your spark, you will enjoy it well. They are fun cars to drive, no problem with mine so far.
  3. Welcome....everything has its pro and cons. I've had my spark since july, no issues, however, yesterday I did receive my recall notice for the hood latch. I think as long as GM stands by the warranty, you should be good. I'm also having fun testing out my "chispa" in the cold Ohio weather. -7 degrees tonight, not including windchill.
  4. Good evening, hope everyone in the midwest has good luck with their sparks this week, as we get our 1st major winter weather, at least in NW Ohio. Snow and subzero temps for lows, so this will be my sparks 1st go at it. Be careful and have fun driving!! Jeff
  5. Hello all! Anyone ever think about about driving your spark through route 66? I've been wanting to drive the famous route for a long time, so I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on driving the spark starting in ohio, and driving the route to cali and back.
  6. Anybody know of a metal or plastic footplate that could be placed on the incline for the left foot? Not sure if that's what its meant for, but I think its comfortable, just don't want to wear out the interior.
  7. This is the 1st american car I bought brand new, and I love it....not sure if its because 95% of is made in asia, but, it still GM. I was hesistant due to gm recalls, but haven't had any issues since I bought in in july. I'm still hoping to take take it on a vacation from ohio to florida and back, I love driving it! Haven't had to ride in the back seat, but the front feels like a regular car, to me anyway. I hope they keep improving on it, and they will keep me as a customer.
  8. Has anyone taken their spark for a long road trip? I live in ohio and woyld like to drive mine to florida, but that would mean going through the tennessee and kentucky hills.....any advice?
  9. Got my 2014 cvt back in july, haven't had any issues, knock on wood, other than hood latch recall. Over 8000 miles so far, 1 oil change. Really like driving it. Previously had a 2010 accent, almost 100,000 miles before I traded it in for the spark. Previous to the accent I had a 2001 echo; both bought brand new, but out of need, not of convenience. The echo had over 250,000 miles before it took its final poop. I hope to get many miles out of my spark, its a fun car to drive.
  10. Please keep Toledo Ohio in your thoughts as a state of emergency has been declared. water emergency due toxic algae bloom in lake erie nondrinkable.
  11. Had my cvt almost a month...no issues yet, tha I know of. Love the way it looks and drives. Hope chevy can get all of the recalls under control.
  12. Has anybody had issues with the radio spontaneously shutting off? Yesterday, I had just left to come back home, contacted onstar for directions, and for some reason the radio just shut off 2 times. We were using the usb and the charger outlet at the sametime, could this have anything to do with it?
  13. Hello from ohio. Just curious as to how you think your spark will handle alaskan winters? Our last winter was HORRENDOUS!! I just purchased a 2014 spark cvt; still a little hesitant, but no issues yet.

  15. Ohio here. Just got spark july 6th, lime green also. I like to get unique cars that not many people would purchase. I've had a 84 fiero, 82 citation(hand me down), toyota echo, and most recently, a hyundai accent. Wanted to get a toyota yaris, but I don't care for the new styling. Hope all goes well your spark, along with everyone else who has taken the leap of faith and bought one.
