  1. Yes, thats the way it should be....but... We shouldn't be testing cars for the manufacturers, be it Subaru or GM. I feel the cars should roll off the assembly line and be free of catastrophic flaws.
  2. Huntington, WV here. The Spark is a blast on the back roads :D.
  3. What's your Sparks mileage? I just had mine done on Tuesday and all that was done was the PCV was replaced. Hopefully I didn't get the other two steps because my mileage was low enough that my TB and my idle were both still in good shape :x!
  4. You have a very good dealership! I did recieve the A/C recall in the mail after I learned about it here. I haven't recieved anything in the mail reguarding the PCV fix yet.
  5. I agree with the what you are saying Greg. Service center personal should provide their customers with generous amounts of information when recalls or service is done. When I had my A/C recall done, my Spark was taken into a service bay and after a while my car was given back to me. Nobody provided any information on what was wrong with the A/C or the details of what was done to fix it. Luckily, this form has kept me informed and I didn't have to ask any questions but it would have been nice to have someone explain it to me in person.
  6. I can only hope they fix the PCV problem and fix any problems that have been caused by its malfunction. Common sense dictates that its not the PCV that is messing up the engine, its the oil making it THROUGH the PCV that is messing them up. So hopefully they look at all the components that can be affected by this oil and check them for damage. That is my main concern, fix it right the first time. I am glad to see they replaced your spark plug, did they mention anything about the condition of the #4 cylinder or the valves?
  7. So, I've put 5600 miles on my Spark since January 2014. The A/C needed fixed right off the lot, though it didn't change my positive feelings for the car. Every car has its hiccups, right? Anyways, Chevy owned up to it and fixed it in the spring with the recall. Now, I'm reading that some engines are failing before 30k miles all because the PCV is sucking oil into cylinders. How did this pass the testing phase? Are we the testers? The Spark concept car was unveiled in 2007, so in 5-6 years they never ran a 1.25L engine past 25k miles or turned on the A/C and went for a drive? I'm now scheduled
  8. No tint. It's parked on the street. I admit that the car takes a few minutes to cool down completely, but it is adequate. I had the A/C fixed last month because I had a very upscale wedding to go to in Virginia (hence the trip to D.C.) and I couldn't arrive a sweaty mess.
  9. 2014 LS cycled hot/cold before I took it in for the A/C recall. They replaced the pressure switch and harness last month. I just took a trip to Washington D.C., 12 hours 900 mile round trip (plus the time spent in D.C.). Not ONCE was I or my girlfriend uncomfortable, even when the temperature spiked into the 90s (not exaggerating). I myself am throughly convinced it is fixed.
  10. 1. Existing holes can be used, but don't expect it to be a walk in the park. All the existing wires pass through tight, thick rubber grommets. 2. The sub has high level inputs, so I would just bypass the high/low converter and use the sub high level inputs. I did splice into both rear speakers for my high level inputs, how you do it is up to you. 3. The OEM head unit is not set up for a subwoofer. This is my guide: http://chevysparkforum.com/topic/2111-amp-stays-on-after-tapping-into-many-different-fuses/#entry15368 it's on the first page, about halfway down. Lots of pictures.
  11. Yes. The front two 4" have the tweeters built in to them.
  12. That looks amazing. I would try mounting the amp in the spare tire area.
