jibb3r 29
I can't seem to figure out what the "Exit Lighting" is on the MyLink settings. At this point, I'm assuming it's an option not meant to be on this vehicle?? Anyone have any idea? I've set it to the 30 second and 120 second timers, and the dome light doesn't even stay on for that long. Nothing else lights up, upon exit. On my 2001 Monte Carlo, the headlights & reverse lights would light up, for the "Exit Lighting" timer duration. On the Spark, they don't do that. However, I did see in the manual that if you pull on the high beam lever while the car is off, it will turn on the headlights & reverse lights. :shades:
Greg_E 211
Should be the length of time the dash lights stay on when you turn the car off, but I never tried changing mine to see if it did anything.
jibb3r 29
However, I did see in the manual that if you pull on the high beam lever while the car is off, it will turn on the headlights & reverse lights. Interesting. Almost 3 years later, I accidentally figured out what this means. Then, I see I answered my own question at the ending of the original post; but somehow didn't realize it. I got out of my car a few minutes ago and hit the high beam lever on accident, didn't think anything of it until I walked around the back and saw the reverse lights were on. Anyway, for those that have the 13 models, without the auto headlights, if you pull the high beam lever before you exit, it will illuminate the reverse lights and headlights, for they time limit you have it set to. The timer can be changed in the vehicle settings of the MyLink (I changed it to "off" - and sure enough, that's what it's for!). Unfortunately, this is only for exiting the vehicle and really doesn't serve any purpose. But, at least, I can say I know what it does now!
