bluer101 241
Today I ended up doing a small mod but really makes the emblem blend with the Spark, or atleast with mine. Front and rear. Smikster

bluer101 241
Looks good.Plastidip? Nope, it's just flat black tape that is pressure sensitive and removable. Edited March 4, 2013 by bluer101

Greg_E 211
On the front I would suggest one of these reflective tapes: http://shop.reflectivestore.com/main.sc;jsessionid=DB8A58F0ED28766E4EDE068BFABBD7EE.qscstrfrnt04 I don't think it is completely legal to have a white reflector on the back, but most people probably wouldn't care. Depending on my time this summer, I'm going to de-chrome my car and paint all of it black. Probably cut a new bowtie out of plastic or aluminum and use black paint or black reflective tape to color it. Other things will be to put some red reflective tape in the door jams and think about some body stickers in strategic places like rocker panels and hood lip to fend of paint chips, not sure if I will use clear of colored material for this purpose. bluer101 241
Got a link to the product, or a similar one? I got it at Pep Boys, it's flat black. http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/430812/00165/?quantity=

joehornback 5
Did you remove it to do this? And if so, how do you remove the badge? I'd like to make mine black!

I'd like to make mine black! No need to remove the emblem. Just get the color decal of choice and cut a piece to fit over the whole emblem. Then apply it and smoth out to the edges. I used my fingernail to get it all the way into the groves and ends. Then carefully cut with a razor blade in the groves. This will give it that nice flush look all the way to the edge. The link above is for the carbon fiber at Pepboys but mine is flat black. It is removable with no residue. Made of the same material as vehicle wraps. I searched and here is the exact stuff I used: http://www.pepboys.com/product/details/430881/165/accessories/fashion_exterior/headlight_film_body_wraps/?quantity=1 Edited April 6, 2013 by bluer101
joehornback 5
awesome, thanks! I bet I can find it at autozone or OrIeleys too. If not I'm going to order me some of that. I hate that golden bowtie on a red car. It doen't match anything!

WaltK 305
Nice! The black looks really sharp against the denim. djp
djp 18
I couldn't believe how easy it was! I bought some more and am going to do a simple eyeline around my headlights. I don't like the ones they have out so I will improvise
bluer101 241
Are you glad I posted it? It looks great on the blue too. Yours looks like gloss vs mine matte. I still have about 4 feet left.
djp 18
Yeah. I've seen them around town and always wondered about them. I wouldn't say gloss, not super shiny anyway and not quite matte. I wanted it in between because of the chrome
weetsj 39
i also used carbonfoil for the eyelines, the line's low nearby the fog lights, the two stripes on the lover grill, my doorhandels on the backdoors, the small windows in and outside, and of couse the B-styles and the chevylogo
djp 18
I see that weetsj, and it looks good, but i don't want to adhere anything to my paint. I want to lightly line the actual headlights
weetsj 39
maybe it would look nice if you used some sort of silver color, because of your dark color car. i saw this on a other car and that looks nice to djp
