Kam 1
Anyone tinted their windows? If so how dark do you usually go?
Greg_E 211
The white color would look really good with very dark windows all around.
bluer101 241
It's on my list to do. I'm going either with 5%-15%.

Kam 1
Post some pictures when you do! The white would look good.
Lill blu sparky 9
The dealer tinted the windows on my car! Just the back windows. Not sure what % it is but it looks good.
sparkplug 1
Yeah that does look good but why would they just do the back ones? Doesn't make sense to me
Greg_E 211
Most states in the USA are now illegal to tint beyond like 10 percent on any front window (including driver and front passenger side windows). Some place don't care, some won't apply it. Only except might be southern cars where I think they might still get slightly darker factory windows all around.
Lill blu sparky 9
Yeah that does look good but why would they just do the back ones? Doesn't make sense to me It's illegal to put tint on the front driver and passenger windows here in Cali, so the dealer won't put it on, but you can find shops to do it for you, you just have do take the chance of getting pulled over for it. sparkplug 1
Oh i gotcha. Here in texas i believe we have a limit of 30 or 35 percent on the fronts. Its changed so frequently i can keep up. But thats about right
prdnme 1
I considering 5 on the back and back doors, 20 on the front doors and 30 on the windshield. I'll post pics when it's done. Tint laws be damned!
westernpa25 16
For those that live in states where non factory tint is illegal check these out. I had a set once in my previous Yaris 3 door. I'm gonna get a set for the Spark.
Trancer07 30
Most states in the USA are now illegal to tint beyond like 10 percent on any front window (including driver and front passenger side windows). I agree with this law. I've tried to drive a few cars with really tinted windows in a dark parking garage while I was a valet. Wasn't fun at all. I personally dislike window tinting. However much the manufacturer tints the windows is just fine with me. Edited March 2, 2013 by Trancer07

WaltK 305
Most states in the USA are now illegal to tint beyond like 10 percent on any front window (including driver and front passenger side windows). No tint whatsoever on front windows in NJ.
dbnspark 7
Anyone tinted their windows? If so how dark do you usually go? Check your state laws, even states that don't allow tinting (verify this in your state though) you can tint windows with a doctors prescription. Of course you will still not be able to go limo tint all the way around........I had Huper Optik on my Jetta, not sure of the percent. Not legal to tint entire front window in MI. I had entire front windows, rear side, and back glass tinted, lightest tint available. Looked DARK from behind. Side of car didn't look tinted, just looked like dark factory glass. Drove by police quite a bit, never bothered me.....As much as I liked it, this time around I'm going to try this:http://www.viper.com/Tint/Products/SecurityFilm.aspx I figure a little extra security can't hurt. jibb3r 29
I have the "Security film" on my Soul, I went with that for the lifetime warranty. I plan to do the same 20% on the Spark. It's illegal here as well, but I'd say half the vehicles on the road around here have "illegal" dark windows.
Onarakun 0
I got mine done just after purchase. It's Arizona legal with a shade lighter on the front windows. I'll post some better pictures later
austex04 48
My state allows up to 25% on the two front windows, limo ok for the back windows. You also have to take account the factory solor tint. I'm going to get mine done soon, before summer. I'm going 30% sides and 5% rear. I know a guy who does lifetime Llumar film, whole car for $100. We have annual safety inspections, they also use a light meter on tint to see if legal. Edited April 21, 2013 by austex04
bluer101 241
Had mine done this past week. I had llumar CTX 15 all the way around. I'm going back to have llumar air blue 80 put on the whole front window. So far I love the ceramic tint.

stevesparky 20
Looks really great. Thanks for pics. I have never had any tinting done before. How durable is it? Like when you wash the inside of the windows? Will it eventually get fine scratches? Will it get fine vertical scratches when you roll the window up and down? Thanks..
Klouseau 6
I got mine done with 3m. They are guaranteed for life. Seems to be super durable, once it cures. Takes 24 hours to cure. We had other vehicles, and it was just like washing untinted windows. Never noticed any scratches.
Riverspark 28
That looks really sharp :D Edited November 5, 2013 by Riverspark Klouseau
