Hauling kayaks without roof racks

Recommended Posts

I would be worried about denting the roof and scratching it. Rhino rack makes a rack that fits. I had a focus before my spark I used only foam block and straps in the car. Scratched up the roof and had to pop a dent a few times but I didn’t care about that car as it was on its. Last leg. There’s also inflatable roof rack that might help but I still think the roof is to soft for that.

rhino racks about 400 which is a lot but worth it IMO

Hi, something off topic. Is that black vinyl on B pillar? I mean why chevy think they still need to put B pillar black vinyl on a Black car.

Oopss!! May be customer satisfaction that they too got it as other color cars.

I use these ropes with hooks you put in the door and foam blocks. I use it for a canoe and it works great. My dad gave me the set up so it's old school. Maybe there is something out there for kayaks or you can modify one? As my canoe is metal, I have scratched my roof but not significantly and it isn't a major concern for me. Hope this helps!
