Jeff 9
So I ordered this and installed it in the trunk area this morning: Noico 50 mil 25 sqft car Sound deadening mat, butyl automotive Sound Deadener, audio Noise Insulation and dampening https://www.amazon.com/dp/B012AVX5HQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_AVb1xbFXGRN8V I have a 2016 2LT manual, and I will say it made a big difference. I have enough material left over to do the front floor board areas but didn't want to take the trim and carpet out of my new car, so I will do that later on. After putting everything back in, you can't tell its there. Edited September 10, 2016 by Jeff LittleBlue!
b00duh 2
Very nice job! Did you use a roller at all to get it nice and stuck on the flooring? I used the thermal stuff for duct work that you can get at home depot. The smell is terrible for the first couple days, but does the same thing as what you got.
Jeff 9
Thanks! No roller. I just used a rolled up rag and rubbed it a bit. I'm anxious to do the front floor boards as well now that I did the rear. It did make a nice difference.
b00duh 2
The floorboards do make a huge difference in noise reduction. Another spot to do would be the inside of the doors, although, I don't find them to be that bad. Edited September 13, 2016 by b00duh Jeff
