Bob_W 0
Hello, and thank you for posting this. On my 2014 Spark 2LT, I removed the cover that goes over the spark plug ignition coils, as you have done in the picture, but could not remove the coil packs. I removed the bolt holding the coil to the head and lifted the coil up, but was not able to remove the coil because it was blocked by the intake manifold above. Any thoughts about what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance!
Ray Dockrey 97
You can't unplug it and then lift the coil pack out?
Retired old Gearhead 201
As Ray said: You have to disconnect the plug from the coil first....then lift straight up and forward. No prying with metal tools pls. Should be no reason to remove the coils or plugs on a 2014 unless you have +100Kmi on it already?
Kevin Pavey 4
Take bracket off passengers side of intake manifold. disconnect connector from coil. Remove screw. Lift up coil and twist so connector clears manifold. Had to remove 2 at a time to get them out. Last vehicle had 80K when I replace the original sparkplugs I bough t it used. They were very hard to remove. I scares me to think how hard they would be to remove at 100K
