Retired old Gearhead 201
I looked out my window and noticed something hanging off my bottom of my car. A random hose. Anyone know what this is to? Looks like the rear washer hose going by your second post as to connection....first post quoted above looks like A/C water drain tube..check your rear washer if OK then check A/C running and see if it comes out of tube..let us know..K? bluer101 241
It's part of the brake system, breather tube. The plastic clip clips onto one of the hard brake lines so the loop is upside down with the open end pointing down. So the actual tube connects to nothing just the clip. You can see below in my photos. It's just below the master cylinder behind the battery area. Looking at your picture again the clip is broken off, so just use a zip tie to secure it, just don't pinch the hose to hard. Edited May 23, 2016 by bluer101 Do0ks
Retired old Gearhead 201
Are you sure about that bluer? Second pic he posted showed a motor start point connection. I may be wrong but I am not familiar with a brake system having any kind of open ended air breather...not great with the new car tech stuff but this is kinda a mystery to me...let me know about this..K? bluer101 241
Positive. They call it a vent. Number 9 in the picture is his hose and 10 is the hydraulic vacuume pump. Edited May 24, 2016 by bluer101 Retired old Gearhead

bluer101 241
When I went out to my car to take the photo I was surprised to where the hoses lead to. Good thing mystery solved and hope the OP can use it to solve his problem. Retired old Gearhead
