Nice breakdown Peter!..Still $600 is a lot for most ppl to have the minor convenience of door locks & remote, but I think you went about it very sensibly having a pro 3rd party do it..lots of work involved there as evidenced by a pro taking 7 hrs. Does that model come with power windows and a programmable Mylink that you can configure the locking sequence like the lock-out prevention?

My 2015 Chevy Spark come with power windows and doesn't come with Mylink. So, I didn't need to install power windows but the 2016 Chevy Spark LS, everything is non-power. I will post pictures of the doors later today (04/22/2016). Yeah, $600 is alot but you can just but the actuators motors and remote not alarm. It should be a little cheaper. The private shop quoted me $250 per door and alarm for about $1500 crazy. Edited by Peter Truong

Thats one shitty install, they could have run all that trough the rubber grommets, they kust need to take the doors out, i would never drive out with that.

For $60 per door in labor, it's better than nothing. There a local shop out here charge $1500 to do it correctly by taking the door out and wiring correctly. I'm not going to pay that.

I agree, they already had the door panels off and the pillar panels too. Instead of cutting the rubber grommet on the vehicle side it could have been passed through the factory grommets.

Wait I till that wire loom splits and the wires are exposed. Or if the loom does not bend right and gets caught in the weatherstrip. If that happens it will let water in during the rain.

But I guess you knew what your were getting at $60 per door.

I would run the wires yourself through the factory grommet, but then you still have slits cut into the factory grommets that can let water in.

Well I guess you knew what you were expecting when you took it to best buy.

I'm just a firm believer that if you do it right, you only do it once.

Good luck with it, but it will turn into a headache when that plastic panel starts to tear trough those wires.
