Eric Bruce 0
Hey Everyone! I am planning to install a Infinity BassLink in my 2015 Chevy Spark LT. I have a cheap Soundstream headunit with RCA outs for the sub. I understand I will need to run a power, ground, remote, remote turn on and RCA cables. The actual setup is not to confusing to me. My problem is-- I have never done anything other than a headunit/speaker install in a car. I am guessing the wires will run through/under the trim and carpets but I am not sure how to actually do this. I'll be running from the driver side of the trunk to the stereo in the dash. Does anyone have any tips or pictures from their install? I have looked through http://chevysparkforum.com/topic/729-kicker-upgrade/?fromsearch=1 but the image just shows the wiring ran under what appears to be the carpet under the back seat. How would I get the wire to the front of the car and through the dash to the back of the receiver?
Skids 108
all the plastic panels along the side that hold the carpet down basically just pull off. I think only the very front one has a screw to take out (if memory serves me correctly) and that can be done by hand.. its not very difficult at all to take the panels off just little time consuming. there is a hole in the fire wall to run the power cable through to the battery if the gauge it too thick might have to drill it larger.. i didnt know about this hole so i just drilled my own. dont just drill any where because you can hit something on the other side. but all in all I've never done anything like it either and it wasn't difficult all .. was kind of upset I had been paying an arm and a leg for some one else to do it for so many years.. As far as running the wires to the back of the dash. Do the wires simply come out from the trim panel near the drivers feet and run up into the empty space under the steering wheel to the back of the center dash? I looked earlier and it appears that its all open back there.
Skids 108
no clue, I have the stock my link system and used speaker level inputs. ull the head unit out and shine a flashlight back there youll probably be able to see where you can run the wires out to im sure theres empty space back there if you look under the dash where you can rn the wires into the back of the head unit
TheDrip 25
The spark has more empty space in the dash than any car I've previously owned. Running wires through the dash area is not an issue at all.

Erik Gonzalez 3
Good that op asked this question because I was looking at the same exact bass link sub. Good to know it isn't hard at all. I've been paying someone alot of money for labor when it's this easy. I also am considering a kenwood under seat sub. Op let me know how it played out.
bluer101 241
Just make sure any wiring you do is zip tied out of the way. Plus do not run wires under the carpet areas where foot traffic goes, you don't need wires to be pinched. If if you are running RCA from the radio to the back make sure you run them on the opposite side of the vehicle. Run RCA down the passenger side and power down the driver side. This is so you don't get any possible power noise whine in your system.
Mr.tozzi 66
I have a basslink in mine, the wiring is pretty simple. i didnt use rcas, i used speaker level inputs and tapped from the rear speakers, that way cuts down on wire runs as you dont need to run a remote wire and no rcas. I drilled trough the clutch pedal hole cover (automatic car) to feed the power wire in the cab. all plastic trim is clipped on except the front kick panel trim. i just brought the wires up and zip tied it to the metal (razor sharp) framing and put the bass knob under the 12v plug. grounded it to the trunk floor and its been working since february.
