Skids 108
I spent a good several hours and about 170 feet of reflective pin stripe tape turning my spark into a "tron" car. Ever since my accident in this little guy I've been looking for ways to make it more visible and noticeable. Thought these "tron" cars looked pretty cool. It was fairly cheap to do it myself 3M tape off ebay, but I do need to order a few more rolls to finish, all in all after the extra rolls still under $100. pics are before and after in a dark as it can be during the day room with a flash on cell phone camera. WaltK 305
Wow! that thing really lights up, what is the actual color of the tape? Chevygurlroq
Skids 108
its a "white" tape. looks kind of white/silver/gray-ish. looks pretty close to the silver on the roof rails but a bit lighter. like a middle ground between the white paint and silver roof rails. here it is with the lights on no flash. WaltK 305
It's a lot more subdued looking in this pic, it's a good match for your car. Certainly does the job when the lights go out. Nice job! Skids
Retired old Gearhead 201
Well, no trouble being seen now!..Like your garage work space..all you need now is some wall tool racks. Looks like there is even enough room for a drive up lift in there.
Skids 108
thank you Walt! ROGh it works, my work does video shoots for car companies, and dealer training, the sound stage is full of crap right now but the training room was empty. Nice air conditioned spot on a Saturday with no one in the office works nicely for a little car work. we do have jacks and tools over on the sounds stage but rarely need them. the go jacks however are awesome! Hector Lizasuain III 1
Man it looks sweet. I would love to do this with my Spark but with a black reflective tape (since my Spark is green). Do you know if its street legal? Chevygurlroq
Skids 108
I have no clue if it is or isn't.. it would depend on the state for sure some are much stricter than others. I think you should be ok, It's reflective tape which every car has reflectors and they're all over school buses and semi trucks and every other thing so... you could always argue that.. in california you cant have lights (electronic) all over the car because it is distracting to other drivers (which this is too but) or blue lights anywhere on the car or red lights on the front, police emergency vehicle thing.. but I don't know, I looked up on line but no definitive answer.. I think until it becomes really popular and everyone does they wont bother making a law for it till it becomes an issue. They do make black reflective tape it doesnt "light up" as well as white or the brighter colors but it exists. You'll need about 8 rolls of it or 200' plus another 25' of the wider one to mask off the back black plastic if you want. I just finished this weekend, had to order more rolls Chevygurlroq

Chevygurlroq 2
This looks AWSOME! I hella wanna do this to my 2015 spark. I've had serious visibility issues in this car with other ppl not seeing me over the past year and my car is lime green. This is the perfect answer. Not sure if I will do black or green tho I'll have to look at the tapes. How long does this last and how does it hold up in weather? I'm in the bay area so our weather is similar right?
