rdbmisc 0
Hi everyone,I'm posting on this forum in an attempt to fix what I hope is a small problem--I'm driving a 2014 Chevy Spark EV. A couple of days ago, parked in close to my side of the garage and in an early-morning kind of stupor, I tried to pull out but accidentally clipped the housing of my passenger side outside mirror housing. I inspected the damage, and luckily the mirror itself hadn't been cracked at all. However, a piece of the mirror cover had been chipped off and some of the part surrounding the mirror cracked as well. Below are some links to a few pictures I took of the damage. I've been looking at GM Wholsesale Direct for the parts I need to fix the housing. So far, I've deduced that I need a new mirror cover, but I don't know how to fix the black cracked bits which seem to be the main component of the housing itself. Any light you could shed on this (and also if anyone has any information on how to get the housing to come apart) would be great. Thanks in advance!Pictures:OneTwoThreeFour
bluer101 241
Hate to tell you this but you need a whole mirror assembly. You might be able to order it already painted from Chevy. But it might come unpainted and just the cover needs it. Do you have a turn signal in it? Edited August 30, 2015 by bluer101
rdbmisc 0
Oh, that sucks. No, it doesn't have a turn signal.
bluer101 241
Oh, that sucks. No, it doesn't have a turn signal. Then it makes it a little cheaper. But you are going to need the whole mirror assembly due to the black part not sold by itself.
bluer101 241
Here is a link to used ones on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=&Brand=Chevrolet&_dcat=33649&_osacat=33649&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR11.TRC2.A0.H0.Xspark.TRS1&_nkw=spark&_sacat=33649 Then you could have it painted to match at a local body shop. bluer101 241
Your welcome, just make sure what you buy is from the proper car. Like electric vs manual.
