Ken 4
I bought my 14 Spark used with original tires and rims. I am now approaching 45,000 miles. I have pleanty of tread left but know the time will come to replace the 185/55/15 Goodyears. I am considering going to 195/55/15 tires on the stock rims. I'm wondering if anyone else has experience good or bad with this size tire on the stock rim. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed. Thanks.
Retired old Gearhead 201
Good to go. 195/55/15 will give you a smoother ride over rough roads. Actual 60mph will read as 61mph on your speedometer. BTW: 45K mi with plenty of tread remaining on the factory tires is pretty good. I have 205/50/15 on the stock rims and they are smoother riding, but not as smooth riding as the 195/55/15 would give you. Also easier on the bearings on rough roads or small pot holes.
