Hi, I have just bought a 2013 1.2 LTZ having previously owned a 2011 1.2 LS. They are supposed to auto lock after 30 seconds of being unlocked and keys not being in ignition. My 2011 did but the new one doesn't if I am making any sense then is there any way of fixing this. Thank you :)

My 2013 doesn't do that. But it's also a LT1, not sure if that would make a difference from the 1.2 LTZ or not.
You're talking about being unlocked from the remote, right? Then it auto locks itself, if the key isn't in the ignition.

My Kia does that, it will auto lock itself if the doors aren't opened after being unlocked from the remote. But my Spark does not, unfortunately.

I wouldn't like it. I sometimes will be working on something in the car and need to take the keys out so it does not chime. I have forgotten before and left the keys in the seat and shut the door to go inside to get something. I would be pissed if I came out and my keys were locked inside..

My 2013 can be programmed via MyLink to auto-lock after a set amount of time. I have it programmed to never lock except with the transponder key...that way there is no way I can lock myself out...ever. Even if I push down the door lock, it pops open again until I hit the lock button on the transponder key. Check it out..MyLink has several locking and opening options.
