Climate Control?

Recommended Posts

With my A/C on high and recirculate (which is supposed to mean that no outside air is used), I've noticed that I can constantly smell the exhaust from the vehicle in front of me, and even the smell of the freshly cut grass alongside the road.

I'm not talking about just a light smell, I'm talking about that it smells just as strongly as if I was on my bike.

Anyone else having this problem?

I checked the flap, and it seems to be closed, so I have no idea how the outside air is getting in.

Maybe this is why the A/C doesn't cool like it should.

As we know, with re-circulate on, no outside air should be coming in. One way to test this is to leave it at re-circulate with A/C OFF and heating ON and we should see some inside window fogging. The re-circulate may not work as it should with A/C on as I too find it makes zero difference. I had my mechanic increase the tiny amount of refrigerant by about 2lbs pressure and since then it has always cooled total much better. Why? Who the darn heck knows how these bizzare Spark A/C set ups work!
