stevesparky 20
Anybody done it? Replace their tires and gone a wee bit Larger? My stock size is 185-55-15. Need new tires. What larger size would you use, keeping clearance in mind? Plus I want to keep the stock 15 inch rims. Edited March 7, 2015 by stevesparky
Retired old Gearhead 201
I have 205/50/15 on stock rims. Smoother ride and handles same as stock. No rubbing and speedometer reading is about the same. Does seem to stop faster, specially on wet roads. I would have gone with 205/55/15, but could not get any info on correct clearance.
MBNapier 1
I picked up a roofing nail in the sidewall today. Going to try the 195/55/15 tomorrow. Hope they fit. Update: No problems. After installation and seeing the clearances, I believe the 205/55 will also work. Edited August 31, 2015 by MBNapier
stevesparky 20
I ended up getting tires at Costco. One size up. Noticed a improvement in ride. Very Happy with my Michelins.
