Richard McCarthy 0
Anyone else having issues with the ABS on snowy/icy roads? The 'pounding' from the abs is alarming to say the least . Quite obviously, this vehicle isn't meant for winter driving (with the hp/narrow tire configuration) but even with a 'soft pedal' the vehicle audibly protests and takes forever stopping. Schaltz 27
Narrow tyres are great in the snow - will cut through deep snow very easy. I have done alot og snow and winter driving in my Spark, and it works perfect. And you don't need tons power in snow. The pounding from the pedal is quite normal for the old and rudimentary system in the Spark, and with good winter tyres it stops great. With 65.000 km a year and 30% of them in snow, I can say it does very well. Retired old Gearhead

I agree, the snow performance of the USA version was pretty good with my snow tires, didn't really drive it in snow without the winter tires so no idea how the stock tires will function. Richard McCarthy 0
As posted on the fuel mileage forum, it's become painfully apparent the early versions of the spark (our is./was a 2013 with the 4 speed automatic)left a lot to be desired. We're trading in on a 2015 Kia Soul.

If Schaltz from Denmark's snowy conditions has no problems getting around, well, no one else should either. I'm not concerned with snow in Miami, but I have driven my Spark on sandy beach spots to get a bit closer to the good SCUBA areas on the Keys and have not gotten stuck as some more powerful cars have.
