jibb3r 29
So I've racked up 1000+ miles in the past two days, en route to Florida. Yesterday, my tire pressure light came on, flashing at first, then solid. Of course I panicked, but the car didn't pull to either direction, so I continued on my way, until I stopped for gas. It went away before I stopped, then came back about an hour later, same thing. It comes and goes, on it's own. So today I filled the tires, they were all 31-33psi, I filled them to 40, like the label says. I relearned the tire sensors, the horn honked twice. Get about 20 miles out, same thing, the light is flashing. I relearned the sensors again, just to make sure I did it right. Same thing... whatever. I won't be back on home turf until next week, I'll take it to the dealer then. If this is the worst issue I have, I'll take it!
Greg_E 211
I have 4 sensors that are about 2 years old and the reset tool that I could sell. But most likely the problem is going to be in the car.
mrtwiggy 2
mine just did this and now it just stays on every time i get in my car. onstar app says my front driver tire is at -1 psi! lmao add it to the list of problems i have i guess. lol
Retired old Gearhead 201
Ya...I have seen that before..requires some kinda reset. Best practice is to just check the pressure every once in a while. The light is designed to come on when there is a large drop in pressure..you would probably notice that while driving anyway, so it's not all that useful.
jibb3r 29
I haven't seen the light come back on, since the trip to Florida. It hasn't been back on since. Even while driving all over Florida, and the return trip home, it never came back on.
hybridtrendz 0
does anyone know the part number for the reset tool for a 2013 spark ? the owners manual wasn't much help, and online wants to sell $700 tools. I thought it was just a magnet ring, but that was many years ago I had my shop
Ray Dockrey 97
This one is $85. http://www.amazon.com/Kent-Moore-EL-50448-Pressure-Monitor-Activation/dp/B00A3UNYW8
Skids 108
just pressing the relearn button wont do anything. the relearn is for when you rotate the tires and the sensors are in new locations so they need to know where they are on the car to tell you which tire is low, or high, too high of tire pressure will trigger the light as well.
