cornflakes 9
I need to get my brake pads changed. Can anyone recommend some good brands or aftermarket ones? I've used Hawk Brake Pads in the past on my other car and it was good...no complaints. Do they make it for the Spark? BTW, what is the brake pad part number for the Spark? (Mine is 2011). cornflakes 9
Where i live now, i couldn't find or get any Hawk Performance brake pads (like I have back in Canada on my Focus). It seems there were only 2 to choose from: Hardron and Hi-Q. Hardron was recommended to me for MORE STOPPING PERFORMANCE. However, since it's not ceramic, it does produce more brake dust and wear on the rotors. Hi-Q is ceramic which has less braking performance compared to Hardron (but still good), but makes almost no brake dust, is softer, and less wear and damage to the rotors. I ended up putting on the ceramics as I'm not turbo-boosted or anything so I don't really need crazy braking power....mainly I was looking for ceramic anyways as it's just better OVERALL than any other material AFAIK.
