Just had this reprogramming/software update done and yup! running like a top, like the rental I had was driving! Oddly it seems like a smoother ride too just cruising along. I had to bring it up to my dealership, and tell them about it or i doubt they would have done anything but the easily found it and did the oil change tire rotation, hood latch recall and reprograming all in less than a day so it is possible!

THANK YOU ANGRYBIRD12!!!!

I hope it transforms everyone else's car like it has mine.... My mileage even went up on this road trip by 2.4 mpg. Call me a happy camper....

I have had my 2014 1LT for a month and a half and overall I like it a lot but I have a question. Sometimes when leaving from a stop it does not want to accelerate, I have to floorboard it when it doe

Thought you might want to see the service order. In town it drives Like a different car. No hesitation or jerkyness at low speeds any more. I still need to try it on the interstate to see if they cha

Cool! Guess you are the one I have been talking to on Facebook about this.... Glad it worked as well for you as it did me. We need to get the word out about this update. Its sad some people gave up on it before the fix was available. I think GM should have a system that they can enter a complaint in and when a TSB comes for that issue everyone that brought their car in for that is notified...

You need to keep checking back, and get customer service involved and keep after them...

Chevy Customer Care, this is a very valid point that has been raised here, these guys were having problems, and were left out in the dark to work it out, and thankfully they did. I have been giving your group accolades on this board, right from the gitgo, because you have been extremely helpful, but you kind of dropped the ball on this one. Angyrbird raises a great point here, suggesting that any TSB or recall, affecting the Spark should be posted here, as this is the largest, and most active Spark forum on the web. Apparently, this forum has not been monitored for at least a week, which is not going to lend any confidence in Chevy support, your presence here has increased confidence levels, and your absence is just going to reverse that trend. If you intend to continue to support our members, please make your presence known, on a fairly frequent basis, if you are going to abandon this forum, kindly notify our members of your decision, as it is not fair to leave our members guessing, if they can depend on your support or not. To our members, I am sending a CC: directly to Chevy Customer Support, and I am stepping way out of bounds as a moderator, but I feel what is right is right.

Should any memeber feel the need to contact Chevy Support, they can be reached here. http://chevysparkforum.com/user/829-chevrolet-customer-care/

Yup angry bird that is me. And Walt K I agree completely, same as they send out a recall notice a TBS notice would be an awesome thing too! Moving forward @Chevrolet Customer Care from a corporate level and making your dealers require an email when someone purchases a new car. I know snail mailing out all these post cards can become costly, but an email take but 10 minutes (after the initial setup of the system) and is free. just a "hey theres an update for your Chevy have them reprogram on your next oil change" help get customers into the dealership and keep them happy. Especially with all the technology going into these cars these days this is going to be happening more and more. and it's kind of cool for all us technology guys like when our cell phones, apps, and computers get updates it's like getting a new _fill-in-the-blank_ for free.

@nevada spark, as far as i know it just reprograms the CVT tranny, but it drives way differently feels more powerful better acceleration and mpg

Took mine in today for the recalls including the AC recall. I also complained about the tranny and gave them the printout that was posted here. We will see what happens but I am confident it will get taken care of. The dealer is one of the better ones around here.

Got the car back. The AC is much better but I am not sure it's where it could or should be. They did everything but replace the compressor. I am going to drive it for a few weeks and see how it is.

The software update for the CVT is awesome. The car drives like a whole different animal. I am still trying to get used to it. And I thought the car was fun to drive before lol.
