  1. Hi? I am a person with a Korea. I am curious about the Mylink connector for nextspark 2016 Can you help me? It is a photograph of a connector.
  2. Hey Everyone! I'm a new owner of a 2015 Spark and completely in love with it! My previous car was a 2003 Accent that I kept driving since 05', so I'm getting used to a ton of these new features like Cruise Control and a working AC unit. :p I love tinkering with stuff as well, so the first thing I did was just play around with MyLink before even driving. I poked around a bit in Dev mode and found the OS running under MyLink. I wasn't sure how to exit it, so I clicked on Start > Suspend thinking it would kick me back out to the console. At that moment, I realized I messed up since putting any device in suspend mode is never the answer. :( Now the screen is black, the radio keeps playing the same station at the same volume before it was suspended, and none of the controls (like holding the power button) work anymore. I've read though the forums and understand that I need to hard-reboot the car (unplug the battery for 30mins) to fix, but is there any other way to get the system back online without doing so? I'm hoping to find something like a soft-reboot to keep my settings. :c Otherwise, it's the price to pay for touching things I shouldn't be touching.
  3. If there are any Spark LS owners out there looking to upgrade the radio to the Spark/Sonic My Link 7" touchscreen then I have some information to pass along about getting it unlocked. After trying to have the local dealer unlock it and told they couldn't get anything to work I began searching around for some of these companies that unlock the GM theft lock. After a long search and being told it was pretty much impossible I did find one guy who does this and after his researching, determination and hard work he got the radio unlocked and works perfectly in my LS. I will upload pics soon. He can be found on eBay and his website is www.tvandnav2go.com. He is one if not the only one who can currently unlock these radios and does so in a reasonable turn around time. Pass the word and thank you.
  4. Last week I took my 4 month old 2014 LS1 on a roadtrip from Florida to Massachusetts. Overall the car performed excellently the whole except for the Mylink Radio. As I left the south and approached the New England area the radio intermittently stopped showing the correct station tuned to. The display changed how it looked and would show the previous channel when I changed channels. Sound wise the channel would change (using either seek, manual tune or channel search). Once I got North of RI the problem became permanent. I was in MA for a week and the radio did not work properly the whole time. Turning the car off and back on again, the display would change to the correct frequency for what the radio was tuned to at the moment, but would not change if the channel was changed. Driving back south I wasn't paying attention to the display and just used the steering wheel switches to seek through channels until I found something I liked. Somewhere in Virginia I noticed the Mylink display was working properly again. That was 9 days ago and I haven't had an issue since then. My questions: Has anyone ever heard of something like this before? Is there perhaps a regional signal difference that interferes with proper Mylink display operation? Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi, everyone , My name is Dom and I have had my Spark a week now . I am going to browse the forum for some useful tips but I do have a Question. Believe it or not I was not aware of the my link system when I bought the car so I have just the plain am- fm radio ( long story about that maybe another time Is it possible to add the touch screen after the fact or do I need to add a after market system. With everything rounded with the current radio I don't see how a aftermarket would fit very well. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.
  6. When I connect my iPhone with a cable the audio system cycles rapidly through a connection screen as if the connection is immediately failing. The iPhone has been paired using Bluetooth. I can connect my iPad without issue. I want to connect the iPhone so the phone battery does not get drained and I can access Pandora through MyLink. Anyone know what i am doing wrong?
  7. So yesterday, I got in my car to drive home after work, and after the phone connected I changed the source to bluetooth. It started streaming extremely fast for about a second or two then it crapped out on me with this error message on the screen. The head unit indicated that the phone was still connected, even though I disconnected it and even turned the phone off, it still showed up as bluetooth connected but would not stream the phone or was I able to make any phone calls. The rest of the radio would work fine (XM FM ...) Turning the unit on and off again did not resolve. Killing the car and restarted would not resolve. After the car sat there for an hour off, I tried again and all was well. My brother just bought a new sonic with the exact same radio unit and he said his has done that twice already, and he's only owned it for a week. This is the first time mine has ever done this, and I've owned it since August 6th 2012. Anyone else experience this with their mylink unit?

Chevrolet Spark Gets a New App for Maps <br> <br> Segment-exclusive MyLink system adds GogoLink navigation via owners' smartphones <br> <br> GM MY LINK FORUM - Its in-your-face colors already make the 2013 Chevrolet Spark hard to lose in a crowd. Now it will be even harder to get lost while driving the Spark and the Sonic, thanks to available GogoLink. <br> <br> GogoLink is an embedded smartphone application that delivers full-function navigation – including live traffic updates – through the vehicles' MyLink infotainment system. It was introduced today and is expected to be available in the fall. Consumers can test-drive GogoLink for themselves at a special kiosk in the Chevrolet exhibit the New York International Auto Show. <br> <br> <object width="837" height="472" id="AOLVP_us_1535166954001" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000"><param name="movie" value="http://o.aolcdn.com/videoplayer/AOL_PlayerLoader.swf"></param><param'>http://o.aolcdn.com/videoplayer/AOL_PlayerLoader.swf"></param><param name="bgcolor" value="#000000"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"/><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><param name="flashvars" value="codever=1&publisherid=1612833736&playerid=61371447001&stillurl=http%3A%2F%2Fserve%2Ecastfire%2Ecom%2Fmedia%2Fntw%2F313%2F98%2F987919%2D8285623%2D1280x720%2Ejpg&videoid=1535166954001"></param><embed src="http://o.aolcdn.com/videoplayer/AOL_PlayerLoader.swf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" wmode="transparent" allowfullscreen="true" bgcolor="#000000" width="837" height="472" name="AOLVP_us_1535166954001" flashvars="codever=1&publisherid=1612833736&playerid=61371447001&stillurl=http%3A%2F%2Fserve%2Ecastfire%2Ecom%2Fmedia%2Fntw%2F313%2F98%2F987919%2D8285623%2D1280x720%2Ejpg&videoid=1535166954001"></embed></object> <br> <br> "GogoLink gives Spark and Sonic customers cloud-based navigation and live traffic alerts projected on the vehicle's seven-inch, high-resolution touch screen for a great value," said Cristi Landy, Chevrolet marketing director for small cars. <br> <br> About 90 percent of expected Spark and Sonic buyers own smartphones, Landy said. "This technology is typically found on cars costing far more, but next-gen customers are accustomed to being connected. By using a smartphone app, Chevrolet found a smart and safe way to provide navigation." <br> <br> GogoLink navigation includes: <br> <br> - Emergency information such as police, fire and the nearest hospital<br> - Thousands of points of interest<br> - Local Search via Google<br> - Where am I? locator<br> - Live traffic functionality provides crash reports and lane closures, and with alternative routes<br> - 3-D maps<br> - Ability to store native maps to the customer's smartphone, giving them access to locations and turn-by-turn directions even when phone signal quality is poor.
