  1. I just figured I would add some info for people that may want some rear speaker install guidance since it is a nice upgrade. The rear doors come off fairly easy if done right. There are two screws that need to be removed along with a manual window crank and a couple small plastic covers. You will need a 9/32 hex bolt driver or a bit, a manual crank horshoe clip removal tool, and a Philips screw driver. A flat head screwdriver is useful to get the plastic panels lifted. I added a couple self tapping screws in each speaker surround to secure the speaker and prevent rattles from bass.
  2. Hello, I am going to modify my 2016 Spark EV with some new speakers. Apparently, the car wants 8 ohm speakers. The fronts may be 4, I am unsure. Replacing 4 with 8 will just be quieter, but replacing the rear 8 with a 4 is going to risk electrical issues. The Spark EV rear speaker is poorly designed in that it does lack any enclosure, which I would like to rectify. I have decided that in the back I will rig a mount using vinyl pipe strap to hold in place two speakers made by BIC for home audio use. These speakers just about exactly match the available gri
  3. I bought a 2015 spark this last year, and have recently upgraded my phone to the iPhone XR. with that being said, I don’t have a USB input to my radio. Just the aux, which means that I cannot charge my phone while I listen to music. I wanted to try to swap out my aux for usb. I don’t have a large amount of knowledge of wiring, and electrical. But I’m good at learning how to do just about anything. Any suggestions from anyone? Part suggestions? I’ve found a couple replacement USB sockets for my year car. BUT I’m not sure if that will work with the wiring I have, or if I’ll have to rewire someth
  4. I own a 2013 Chevrolet spark 1.2L. and have recently decided to install a sub woofer. I have installed every component of it apart from the rem wire as i cannot find where to attach this. I have a stock head unit so have had to tap a line out converter into the rear speaker wires. Due to the stock head unit i therefore don't know where I should install the rem. Any photos of peoples installs or any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Long story short, I am prior military, real hard of hearing so the stereo has to be loud. I also own 2 restaurants and have to lay down the rear seats to do runs to pick up ingredients ect. about 4-5 days a week.(yes the back is 100% full) (yes I know I need a truck or van) (working with what i've got) This being said, in or out of the kitchen, music pretty much gets me through the day. As I am sure all of you are aware, the stock system is the worst thing in history. I have done some switches already to the stock speakers, switching to the kickers all around. Night and day difference from wha
