  1. Its the Curt hitch, with the euro style draw bar. I used a t-harness for the lights as well. That trailer came from Lowe's. By the time you put a bottom and sides on a harbor freight trailer, they end up heavier and uglier than the little one I have.
  2. That is partially kind of true. The insurance thing depends on the company and can be fought. Liability would not be affected, but collision/comprehensive could be. The warranty is only invalidated if the dealership can prove direct causation. Engine/trans warranty would be in question, the A/C would not. Another load today,
  3. The wheels came with the red stripe. I was going to paint the stripes body color, but decided I liked the red better.
  4. 1000 lbs behind a 2200 lbs car? Really slow. Roadtrips, homedepot, and even moving to a new house. Little car gets it done!
  5. I have the green paint, but I've decided I like the offsetting color of the red stripe. I work at a tire/wheel wholesaler, everyone has aftermarket wheels on their vehicle in the parking lot, mine still manage to stand out.
  6. 1 Set of stock LS wheels from a 2013 car with 14k miles. No damage. Have new regular valve stems installed, no TPMS sensors. Located in Chattanooga TN. Make an offer I can't refuse, I'm moving in a couple weeks and would like these gone. Less stuff to move is good.
  7. 17x7 Maxxim Maze +38 offset 205/40R17 Undecided on leaving the pinstripe red, or painting it body color to match the car
  8. I did 16 hrs straight through twice in 4 days. It was fine. 88 mph puts a hurting on your gas mileage though.
  9. it might still be possible, but it would involve a lot of swearing. The install kit comes with 18" long wires for fishing the bolts, which are VERY nicely wrapped at the end so they actually thread on to the bolt. I don't know for sure if that box section is open to the rear or not.
  10. The holes are used for the production jigs at the factory. There are plenty of other holes if you're worried about drainage. I slotted mine out, then applied primer and a bedliner/undercoat product to protect from rust.
  11. I installed a Curt brand hitch a couple weeks ago... 45 minutes from opening the box, actually read the directions to completed install. It would have been 15 minutes flat, but I fiddled around with elongating the holes. I didn't take the time to find the right tool, and it took me 5 times as long as it should have. Elongating those holes is the only gut wrenching part of a hitch install. Cutting into brand new car metal is sure a lot easier when it's someone else's brand new car.
  12. I bought the same panel for my 2013 and it is a dead on match. Nice of Chevy to change the color and not even acknowledge the change with a new color code.
  13. I've gotten 24.5 average for a tank driving like an asshole in town and 42 on a 62mph cruise. Mileage is as much about your driving as the vehicle. Lifetime average for my 5sp LS is 34.5, and I am definitely not easy on it.about 1/3 high way driving. PS They get crap mileage above 75mph as well.
  14. I use torque with a bluetooth adapter on my spark everyday. Default settings all around.
  15. If you want to take of quickly (which you do if you're leaving the line at > 1000rpm), try a little more throttle. You're talking about 84hp, that right pedal is going to need some tough love, and you're going to have to slip the clutch a bit more than something with torque. I have noticed some clutch chatter when its cold/damp/wet out, but thats probably my left knee acting up and not being able to clutch smoothly, rather than the car itself.
  16. The radio was designed around 8 ohm speakers in front and 4ohm in the rear. Your replacements are 4ohm all the way around, so there is now effectively twice the current being delivered to your front speakers. Party on.
  17. Mine showed up today. Looks great, but is half the size of all my other 1:24s.... so it must be right. My wife thinks I've lost it.
  18. Your 3000toys order has been shipped. We trust that you will be pleased with your purchase. We'll see when it gets here.
  19. Ordered a green one. Will post when it arrives.
  20. Came off an old honda, don't know which one for sure. I went armed with a pair of calipers to check the center bore. Find a spare tire on sale, check the bolt pattern/center bore for that car on any of a number of aftermarket wheel sites.
  21. Thank you guys for the compliments. I put the spare on the car to double check it before doing all the work.
  22. It drove me crazy on my last road trip thinking about not having a spare tire with me. I bought a takeoff spare on craigslist, jack and lug wrench on amazon, and $20 in various hardware at Home Depot. An hour later, my trunk looks 100%, but my mind is at peace. Cut an 18" wood disc, drilled to bolt it to the stock 4 mount points, and 2 studs to hold the spare The spare sits toward the front of the car to make room for the jack at the back. If I ever have to change a tire, I will not be able to put the flat tire back into the spare tire well. It was a decision I made to be able to fit the ja
  23. I had a weird rattle yesterday. Opened my hood to have a peek, and the prop rod was dangling loose. It had been resting on the engine rattling and making the hood rattle.
  24. Sorry, unclear writing. Consumer Reports lost two HUGE lawsuits with GM. Or rather, GM won two huge lawsuits they filed against CR.
  25. Just got done swapping in Kicker DS series speakers, 4.0 up front and 4x6 in the rear. I don't think it even took 20 minutes total. Interesting note, 2013 1LS, it had no cups on the front speakers. Odd, but it sounds way better.
