  1. First, Renault 11 1.4. Decent car, should have kept it Best, 1987 Honda civic 1.3DX. Was very disappointed when I had to let it go (body was rotten), engine and gearbox still felt brand new. Spark reminds me of this car Worst, Fiat Tipo, dull, dull, dull. Have had lots inc Alfa GTV, 2 Volvo 440's (one a turbo), Neon, Talon (close 2nd on worst) and also a Jeep GC right now.
  2. we love ours, fantastic little car. I tell people its the 2nd best car I ever owned. Best was my 1.3 1987 honda civic. Spark is great fun to drive (stick), costs peanuts to run. Previous vehicles (mine), Renault 11, Alfa GTV, volvo 440 turbo, civic, fiat tipo, 'nother volvo 440, eagle talon, dodge sx2.0, 2011 Jeep grand cherokee (other current car). Is it perfect, no but the + outweighs the - by a wide margin.
  3. Had ours for about 7 months/4,000 miles. No issues mechanically or on build quality, a few stone chips are my only complaint. As my wife loves driving the Spark it's saving me a fortune on gas compared to the Jeep (hemi). Dealer sent me home when I went for an oil change at 6 months and told me to wait for oil life monitoring system alert, can't complain about that.
  4. You think that's bad, the HK ultra premium sound system in a grand cherokee is 19 speakers, a whole bunch of the extra ones are dual cone!!, at least we got magnets and drivers. Car industry has been doing this for years, not that it's right. They have the advantage of the average man on the street doesn't have a clue.
  5. happens to mine on occasion too, first time I pulled off at next intersection just to check. Unreliable systems just encourage you to ignore them.
  6. blue and yellow makes green, so you are your parents child!
  7. http://www.hublerchevyauto.com/VehicleDetails/new-2013-Chevrolet-Spark-Hatch_1LT_%28Automatic%29-Indianapolis-IN/2110163703 12,800for a 1LT auto was the best I could see in 15 minutes. edit. used, oops, listed in their new section too, maybe a demo?
  8. This is the problem with designated crash tests, engineers can produce a car to pass the test, mix it up and things start to fail. Changes to tests will make things better though. You might get out of it, remember not a 100% frontal so the middle nad righ side would be OK, probably need all the airbags.
  9. I got around 1200 off mine (after current promo), went in at the end of the month and said I'll buy it today at $xx,xxx dealer tried to say no and say there's not much room to move but that doesn't mean there's none. Go to dealer, ask for price, tell them what you will pay today and watch them squirm.
  10. In the build your own camp too, you could either save $$ or add much better components, all you need is your time because it really isn't difficult. Fully loaded is (probably) overkill for those games too. Alternatively, buy a decent PC and get a good videocard and throw that in.
  11. check cabin air filter/air intake passage for cabin. usually in the cowl area at base of windshield.
  12. So I am a few weeks in now and have about 500miles on it, so far I am very impressed, I am averaging just over 37mpg in mostly city driving but its trips on the highway have been comfortable, if a little noisy (3K rpm) but the stereo will cover that. I did manage to pair my playbook (had to not pair the phone so it looks like only one BT device at a time) and can use that for music, didn't try video. Bought a cheap USB hub and works great too. Everyone exposed to it has been very impressed with the space inside and although it's no speed demon, it doesn't feel laborious to get around. Park
  13. just checked this out, loaded some more tunes and a video to another USB stick. Attached to the hub for all testing were iphone, 16gb USB and 8gb USB. In audio on mylink and source drop down, USB option would allow me USB1/USB2 (iphone greyed out). Tested and can play tracks from either USB stick, if you select random play it will play tracks from either USB stick (1 to 2 back to 1 etc). Iphone still worked fine for tunein. Video file also worked no problem (avi). For $3, it works great.
