  1. Traded in my 2014 2LT loaded for $14500. Would have received $15000 but got caught in sandstorm in mountains on the way to dealer and windshield needed replaced, hood and front bumper needed repainted, so I thought I got a decent trade value.
  2. No problem. List price was $21600 less $1000 GM rebate ($20600). I ended up paying $19700 for the car and was given $14500 for the Spark which had MSRP of $18300. You can get them considerably cheaper; however, I wanted the loaded LTZ with turbo and 6 speed automatic.
  3. Done deal. Traded Spark for 2014 Sonic LTZ hatchback, turbo, 6 sp automatic. Good luck to everyone with their Sparks and trust that GM with get the A/C issues resolved. Salute!
  4. Just drove over the mountains from Imperial Valley CA to San Diego and the mountain winds were horrible. A big rig was even blown over on Inerstate 8. The Spark did not handle well in the 60-70 mph mountain winds and I was blown from lane to lane at vehicle speeds not exceeding 50 mph. Other cars were passing me left and right, but I was being overly cautious in the high winds. Not only the handling, but when I arrived in San Diego, my front bumper, hood and windshield were sandblasted all needing replaced and repainted. I must say it destroyed me, but I continued to Escondido Chevy deale
  5. Understand all the ratings, but remember they are opinions and usually from a very dedicated and defensive forum people. My Fit Sport had terrible seats, low quality interior, poor paint (Milano Red) and noisy rear suspension for the 2.5 years I owned it. Only thing good about it was the magic seats which allowed for more cargo room. I would never buy another Honda Fit.
  6. Trade for me also. Wednesday will be picking up 2014 Sonic LTZ turbo, sunroof, 6 sp. auto w/everything. Went to San Diego dealer who is giving me a decent trade in value. While I have had little problem with my Spark, I am not happy with the Chevrolet Spark responses to people who are having legitimate issues. Makes me feel worried about what problems are ahead, as I have only 3100 miles on mine thus far and the longer I wait, the worse the trade in.
  7. If you want comfort, economy, storage space, interior and exterior quality the Hyundai Accent SE is a wonderful car. I was originally waiting for a 2015 Honda Fit, but Honda is playing games again with a new vehicle release and it is made in Mexico so I opted to trade my 2011 Honda Fit Sport for the Hyundai with sunroof and it is a great car for me. Plus it has a real 6 speed transmission with manual selectronic that really works as well as a manual is that is what you are after. If all works out well, I will have a Sonic Turbo soon as soon. Good luck in your search.
  8. I have had worse problems with Ford than I have had with Chevrolet. I would absolutely not buy another ford. Sonic has gotten excellent reviews from the experts and the forums are not loaded up with persistent problems as the Spark forum has with the A/C and a few others. I have no problems with my Spark; however, we will see how it fares when I get trade in estimate. My 2LT had MSRP over $18000, so we will see what Chevy dealer offers. I have a 2014 Hyundai Accent SE which I absolutely love and which has had zero issues and it is comfortable to drive as well. No zippy, but comfortable a
  9. I took my 2014 2LT in yesterday to have end caps replaced on my roof rack crossbars, as they fall out very easily. Chevy does not carry end caps, so they had to order new crossbars just for cheap plastic end caps. So they spend $300+ to replace a couple $5 end caps. Unbelievable!!! They also told me that there was a open recall on the A/C system for my vehicle, even though I have had no problems with it. Last week, I emailed Chevy Customer service 3 times to find out if my VIN was on the list of suspect A/C vehicles and of course they did not answer me, but at least my dealer knew about t
  10. OK, first week of mid 90's, which will shortly escalate to the 100's for the next 4-5 months. While most of my driving is in town, the a/c on my 2014 2LT is still performing well and no warm/cold/warm problems thus far. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping GM gets the problem with the people who continue to have a/c issues.
  11. The commercial is from Chevrolet Europe and they (at least UK)have 3 person back seat(no console in middle like ours). Believe India and Mexico and Latin America configurations are the same.
  12. JC: I completely understand what you went through and that it is finally finished. Glad you were able to find same replacement car and that your paperwork is completed with NO increase or payment of money. Good luck with your NEW Spark.
  13. I agree and my connection problem is only with this site.
  14. Congratulations on your new Spark. I am sure it will give you many years of fun driving. Enjoy!
