  1. Personally, I take my filter out and the air con is soooo much better. No filter to block off airflow. I did this to my 2004 Saturn Ion and even in Las Vegas during summer, I was getting too damn cold. LOL. I took filter out of Spark a few weeks ago and I notice air comes out better. As far as what the filter traps......if you don't live in a dusty or smoggy environment you will be fine.
  2. That's the problem with many of the new cars on the market, their air boxes are huge and air is constricted so much before getting to filter and then to engine. I have installed 4 CAI I different vehicles and it amazes me how much "crap" is used to direct airflow to filter. The difference in horsepower is not that much, but throttle response is a lot better and the sound is amazing once CAI is installed.
  3. I will post a video soon. The most testing I have completed is merging on highway and city driving. I notice that it gets to high RPM very quickly. I look down and holy smokes, 7000 RPM love it
  4. First thing first, this is my personal review and I am by no means an expert, but just an everyday at the wheel driver of cars. I installed the INJEN CAI in my wifes Spark yesterday. Installation took me about 45 mins which included taking off front bumper cover and stock air box and resonator. If you have basic mechanical abilities and a set of tools it is really simple. Everything INJEN sent me installed very smoothly and I was ready for the test drive. My wife's car is an automatic, so the "feeling" of this intake is a little different than the others I have drove which were standards
  5. Just ordered an INJEN "shorty" Cold Air Intake for my wifes Spark. I did a little research and decided the "shorty" was the way to go. It gives you a little HP/Torque increase at lower RPM's, which will help the little girl get going. Also, it will increase throttle response as well, so I'm looking forward to it arriving. Once installed and driven, I will post a short review.
  6. FINALLY found wipers. ANCO makes the adapter that fits like a glove!!!! Please pass on the word
  7. Has anyone here had the pleasure of trying to replace windshield wiper blades? I just exhausted all options on how to install Rain-X wipers and lost the battle. Does anyone here know what brands will fit the Spark? It seems the housing they click into is different than any I have ever seen!! PLEASE HELP
  8. I'm confused with all this talk about A/C problems. The A/C in our Spark works like a CHAMP!!!!!
  9. I own A FIAT 500 Abarth also and I can't see how they can make the Spark as quick. It would be interesting if they did though.
  10. I'll be going on that for the rest of the cars life. I just wanted to get synthetic in there as soon as I could. I've always ran synthetic in all my cars and have not had any mechanical problems and even better MPG.
  11. So after 1000 miles I finally put Mobil One Synthetic in our little "Green Goblin". I know how the car is supposed to go 6000 miles or so, but I like to change the oil early on new vehicles after the break in period. My next step is a K&N air filter and then the car will be good to go!!! Hopefully I'll see a little increase in MPG, but I know engine longevity will be worth it.
  12. I plan on installing a Short RAM intake from INJEN this summer. Has anyone in stalled this on their Spark and if they have, how do they like it? Also, what gains were there, throttle response? and MPG?

    Hi from MD.

Welcome...We just purchased our Jalapeno 1LT last week and love it!!
  14. So far having both vehicles...I believe I have the two best vehicles on the market for the money!!
  15. I picked my Abarth up for $21000 so it wasn't to hard on the bank. Its fun having two different types of cars. The Spark is for around town and short trips where more room is nice and the technology aspect is better(NAV Screen) and when its time for some ACTION, its time to strap in the Abarth. I'm just really impressed with the Spark. Alot of car for the money.
