how many people actually like their spark ?

We still love ours. Finally had the recalls taking care of...not using any oil now! Catch can is staying empty. I keep telling people if something happens to my Yaris, most likely ill pick up a manual Spark. -
Welcome and where are you located? I can sell you the axle-back from ours since ive now done the full exhaust

Her Spark was approaching the 30k mark a few weeks ago so while doing an Amsoil oil change, I did the transmission too. I've only read that the filter was not suppost to be replaced...its a "lifetime" filter. That didnt scare me, so I bought a new filter and gasket & Amsoil trans fluid. It was easy. The 4 magnets in the trans pan we very fuzzy being covered in most likely metal from initial break-in. After i cleaned it all up I'd suggest doing it. Everywhere I found said for a drain & fill put in 4.5quarts. Well at least another .25 quart came out when i dropped the filter.

Chevy Trax ... anyone else besides me ?
malibuguy replied to Lovgun7's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
i have been eyeing them as well as soon as the Buick came out i knew a Chevy version would be out soon. i drove a turbo sonic & i was not impressed. My buddy bought an Sonic Turbo RS & i blew his doors off in my Yaris. But ive seen the aftermarket response for the motor and after a few mods they make good power. -
Cant ever go wrong with red'n'black

It does seem to help. What part of Maryland are you from

Finally ditched that rear section i made when we first got the car. I used 304ss again...but this time I did it at the shop, so smooth one-piece mandrel-bent midpipe. The whole system is now 2" vs. stock 1.5". The muffler is a Borla ProXS unit that I got on sale & the Borla tip came off an exhaust I scapped from another car. Its actually a little quieter, but better sounding overall. The power seems better...but I dont drive it enough to really know for sure.

oil consumption - program code 14110 - pcv valve

Ours is approaching 29k and im starting to get very concerned. The catch can I installed is filling up really fast. Before it used to be about every 2-3weeks it would get full. Now its less then a week. Going to bite the bullet and have the recall done...one of the techs at the dealer & I used to race together and he is a good guy so i'm not concerned about the work. I more nervous about the car. When it gets full it puffs oil smoke out the exhaust...so my new plugs are probably getting ashy -
Thats good ol' window tint

Ive thought about that. In theory they would have made sure the oil level is below the crank to prevent cavitation and save gas mileage due to windage

Congrats! The late Fiestas are real lookers

The Mishimoto unit I previously installed was leaking where it was bonded together. So I bought a much better unit that is actually engineered to separate the oil from the air. And has no seams of any kind below fluid level. The can is from Radium Engineering. A little more pricey...but made here and very well built. Eventually I want to get black hoses but the blue ones will do for now.
