  1. I bought a new 2016 Spark LS with in Canada is a really stripped down car. I am looking to ad mud flaps, decent rubber floor mats, and a block heater. The dealer I bought it from could not be bothered to sell this stuff to me. It will take weeks to get from the USA and you aren;t from around here, not worth my while to look what is available. I am looking for a source with part numbers. I would rather buy from a Canadian or US dealer, than from Korea or China. I don;'t need hassles with my credit cards later because I bought off shore. I am not cheap, I just want good quality pa
  2. I don't really know how to do it, but how do I get rid of the intrusive car advertising when I am trying to look at this site? I have been a member for a couple of weeks. I bought a new 2016 Salsa Red Spark LS last Monday after taking input from other members problems. I avoided the a/c and CVT issues by sticking to a 5 speed. I drove 500 miles the day I bought it and have 1000 Km in the first week of ownership. The two irritating things about this site is amount of advertising, and the inability to sign in easily. Often times I must shut down the computer and restart to enter the
  3. Dear Nicole, You need to get a code reader, or get the codes read and write them down in the sequence they appear in the reader. There are a number of sources online which will tell you what systems the codes relate to. Without causing a firestorm with environnmentalists, most codes can be ignored and relate to the emissions system, much of the time relating to loose gas caps, or overfilling at the pump. Anyone with a good OBDII pronounced OH BEE DEE TWO. can read codes and erase them in about a minute. The data port for plugging the reader in is close to the driver seat.
  4. Anyone here know if you can add a/c to a base 2016 LS model after it has left the factory? Either as a dealer installed option or as a kit of parts installed by an air conditioning shop. I am kind of disappointed it is not easy to find cheap Sparks with just air as option. Too much technology in these cars to go wrong. Any one done this to Sparks of other years?
