But if the ECM was bad, I'm kinda thinking the car would not run at all. I'm assuming the instrument cluster doesn't have sensors in it that will set off the check engine light. Basically I think what's happen is, what ever the ECM is getting for reference from the instrument cluster is making the MAS think the car is not running. The stalling only happens when coming up to a stop while the foot is off the accelerator. The spedometer will drop down to zero and then..... car stalls.

AC instantly went from cold to hot

I know if our 2014 chevy spark overflow tank boils over and losses enough coolant. It will give off a check engine light and AC won't blow cold air. Is your overflow tank in good order... No leaks, cracks, etc?. -
The service manager did say.... But not in a 100% for sure way. ( covering his butt legally) That the instrument cluster could be bad and may be causing the stalling issue. Ooor a bad ECM! The process of removing a the cluster is quite easy. But in order to put a new instrument cluster in, will need to be programmed for our car. Great! more money we'll have to spend. : (

Well the MAS I bought from AutoZone I had returned to get our money back for and put back in the original MAS. That was done a day before car went in to dealership. Why should I waste money on a new MAS if the car still continues to stall. So since the factory original MAS was still in car showing the check engine light, I figured it would maybe help them diagnose the problem. The after market MAS (duralast) did clear out check engine light. But still same problem. The dealership recommended we buy a factory AC Delco MAS. They sell them on rock auto for $100 and some change. Core charge of

And now going on overflow tank number 2.... Same issue with first tank, bad Manufacturing on bonded seem of tank. Definite design flaw with these tanks

Had this stalling issue for bout 2 weeks now. The car wouldn't throw a check engine light that is until a about 2 days ago. Had check engine code checked at auto zone and advanced auto. There scan tool said it was a bad MAF. I replaced the the MAF and still have the same issue. And the speedometer also is erratic. If you are driving down the road and let off the gas it will drop down to zero.

Engine light came on and vehicle seems sluggish through 1st-3rd gear. Spark plugs? I don't know. Apparently plugs are suppose to be good to 100k according to factory. Iridium plugs at that too! At $8 a plug. $32 to do a plug change, how stupid.

Minnesota winters are extremely hard on batteries.

I had a battery last over 8 years in Minnesota, was in 3 different vehicles. Not to mention the battery had a hole in it. The positive cable melted off terminal clamp and into the plastic top of battery. I put a glop of silicone over hole. Was good as new. The battery sat for a few years and was dead. This battery was old style. You could pop the tops off and refill empty cells. Fill with distilled water, put on trickle charge and it was good to go. The battery finally shit the bed when it got to cold on time, froze and cracked the battery. This battery was a generic at that. The
