  1. let us know how you get on. i too had a budget similar to yours and of course buying a car just before the new reg comes out should mean you can secure a good deal so do as i did and haggle. i ended up with a 1.0ls 2011 with 80miles on the clock for 6295, i added a three year service plan to try and save on future escalating servicing costs for 295 and this includes it,s first mot so all being well a peace of mind package. the list price for this model is 9145 so savings are there. so far i am enjoying this car and i am intending on posting a comprehensive review soon once i,ve clocked up a go
  2. ah! now i understand why my 8gb flash player didn,t work. i also tried a 4gb flash player which was fine. the only thing i am not sure of yet is whether the files have to be loaded as individual mp3 files or whether you can load folders with mp3 files. anyway thankyou for your input. i still think having a mini usb is a bit daft instead of the more commonly used standard usb port. it meant having to buy a seperate adapter. also i now know that some mp3 players don,t work but charge instead. however this could be a useful feature too as long as you remrmber your headphones.
  3. welcome on board, i thought scotland was cold but this year we have had one of our midest winters. good to see this little car is getting everywhere. happy driving.
  4. interesting read, thankyou. seems to me ironic how quick some reviewers are to almost ridicule this car. i often feel these people are out of touch with the real world. i remember when the daewoo matiz was rated as a mediocre car and yet where i live in the uk these cars were and still are plentiful and well sought after. maybe they aren,t the fastest or most impressive cars out there but they do in my opinion represent good value for money. anyone else agree.?
  5. you obviously love your spark, good on you. 40mpg i think equates to about 65kiometres to 4.5 litres or a british gallon. i love the way the spark lights up in blue, like the tron movie so thats what i,ve called mine, "TRON". my spark is the 1.0l ls so slightly slower but hopefully it will speed up a bit once i,ve racked up some miles.
  6. very informative, and good to see so much enthusiasm and ingenius ways to customise this car. in our country (uk) the reviews are mixed as they were with the daewoo matiz. i owned one of these too and spent four years putting this little gem through it,s paces. i was very impressed with this car and am hoping the spark will prove to be the same at least. the koreans obviously love the spark and i can,t fault their attitude to commitment. they have undoubtably taught the rest of the world some valuble lessons in this regard. happy motoring . :banvictory:
  7. thank you kindly. i notice in your avatar your spark is bi-fuel. did you buy it like this or did you fit some kind of kit. what sort of economy do you get. at the moment i am running mine in so the engine is tight. also i use my car for my work as a window cleaner so i have ladders on the roof. i am getting around 40mpg, hoping this may rise after i have covered more miles.
  8. hello to everyone, i have recently bought a 1.0ls chevrolet spark. had a panda prior to this and a daewoo matiz. i like cheap econmical cars and those with character, certainly the spark fits the bill here. looking forward to chatting to some of you soon. happy driving. :hyper:
