  1. They should be able to look it up by the VIN. If they say they can't I would check with a different dealer.
  2. How would Onstar know that the bearing was bad? The bearing is mechanical. When Onstar performs the diagnostics its only on the electrical parts the computer monitors.
  3. Its just saying the oil life is low. No big deal. May be they forgot to reset it last oil change. Just drive it and make sure they are aware when you turn it in.
  4. I don't know how much you searched but I found this.
  5. Another scam the service department tries to sell you that isn't needed.
  6. Go by the manual. The 13's had a four speed automatic. The 14's and up went to a cvt.
  7. Depends just how deep the hole was. Could be water in gas, air filter soaked, or you shorted something in the electronics or in the wiring. Could be as simple as a blown fuse or something much worse.
  8. There is more going on then a needed brake job, A lot of times when this happens its a wheel speed sensor since both the traction control and ABS lights are on but further troubleshooting would be needed to determine that.
  9. That tactic is used a lot. They want you to finance because they get a kickback from the finance company. They will also convince you that a extended warranty is needed for financing. In your case somewhere they had to have sneaked it in or there would have been a breach of contract. what I would suggest is when you buy next time and do have to finance is get approval from your bank or credit union ahead of time. Makes it much harder for them to sneak in unwanted items.
  10. How much of that was taken care of under warranty? What was your out of pocket? Do you have solid numbers or are you just pulling numbers from what you read. Things fail. It happens to all cars. Other then quirkiness from the trans my 2014 was trouble free. I traded it in with 85,000 miles on it. What is it with people wanting to sue. Do you really think you would get anything out of it? The only people who get anything is the lawyers.
  11. Those numbers seem really off. How are you calculating your mpg? And do you do any in town driving?
  12. Anything 2016 and up will not fit your spark. The Spark was a complete redesign for 2016 and nothing is compatible with the 13, 14, and 15's.
  13. Was there a reason you posted this in a Chevy Spark forum and not a Chevy truck forum? Not a lot of traffic around here anymore so you may not get much help if any at all. And why is this posted twice under different names?

  15. AC repair can be very costly. Probably one of the reasons they got rid of the car instead of fixing it. If the leak is inside then it could be the evaporator or the lines going to it. Usually that means a complete tear down of the dash. Did you smell or see refrigerant or oil?
  16. I hope you mean tune and not chip. Most if not all chips are scams. A tune is different and is specific to make, model, and your desired outcomes. It will also make your warranty useless so be aware of that.
  17. Its probably the overflow tank. Very, very common issue. They only seem to last about 40,000 miles. i had to replace mine around the mileage when I had my 2014.
  18. Just out of curiosity this is a manual trans right? And were you unhooking the negative from the battery? This was added to the towing procedure. Chevy Bulletin: Certain 2017-2018 model year Chevrolet Spark vehicles, equipped with a manual transmission (RPO MR7), may experience electronic stability control (ESC) brake activation under certain conditions while being dinghy towed. When the vehicle is being towed on a curved road or in a turn, ESC brake activation of one wheel may occur resulting in an audible tire squeal. The forum I found this on was talking about dest
  19. Does it have a 12 volt port? Just use that with a USB charger. Then get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013QJ0W8Q/ref=sspa_dk_detail_0?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B013QJ0W8Q&pd_rd_w=873d0&pf_rd_p=80559f3c-f83b-49c1-8a72-40f936e9df7a&pd_rd_wg=X9ZTB&pf_rd_r=XDC65Y0R06GWXGTBJ3ZV&pd_rd_r=a1be2c4d-5d37-11e9-8b47-e199cf055912
  20. Not much you can do for power. An air intake might make it a little more responsive. As far as accessories there arent much. The only place I know of to check is Ebay. If you wanted something more powerful you probably should of got a used turbo Sonic if you wanted to stick with Chevy. Lots of upgrades for those and they are quick box stock. I just went from a 2014 Spark to a 2015 Sonic with the turbo and there is a significant difference.
  21. My guess is it would never work. You would need somebody to fabricate an adapter for the trans and engine to mate up if thats even possible plus your are talking two entirely different computer systems and trying to get them to talk would be nearly impossible. I say nearly because nothing is impossible if you can find the right people and throw enough money at it.
  22. I know you said dont suggest something else but you are going down the wrong path. It won't be the blower motor resistor or ac relay. The resistor gets bypassed on the top speed. If it worked on the top speed but no the other then thats a sign of a bad resistor. AC relay only controls the ac clutch. There is also a ac fan relay, not sure that our cars have one, but it commands the cooling fan and again has nothing to do with the blower. The blower motor is on a separate circuit since it has to work whether AC or heat is on or just circulating air. Its either a blower fuse, switch or the motor
  23. Be leery of those lifetime powertrain warranties or any that other stuff they use to get in you to buy from them. They are almost always gimmicks to score a sell. They usually require all service to be done by them plus all the optional services they offer. Just another scam dealerships use to try and get you to buy.
  24. According to what I can find GM PIDs for the tire pressure sensors are proprietary and not accessible.
