  1. Can you tell if they are on when you walk up to it and look through the window? Or do you notice it once in the car. Unlocking the door with a key could be triggering the system to wake up.
  2. You might get away with unplugging the battery for a while and letting everything reset. It needs to be unhooked for at least thirty minutes. If not then you will need to take it in and get a reflash done.
  3. Does it have remote unlocking? I know when I had my 2014 that when you used the remote to unlock the doors it would activate quite a few of the systems. Basically when you turn off the car and close the door after a certain amount of time the CPU will put things to sleep. When you unlock the car it will start bringing those systems up even if you haven't got in the car yet. Mu guess would be that it happens even without remote door locks. I would start paying attention to the behavior so you can determine if its normal or possibly something is wrong with it.
  4. You may just have to buy a remote with buttons, have it cut, and program it which looks fairly easy. Do a search on here for flip key and the top thread should be Newflipkey for my 2017 LS . Open that thread and see the last several posts. You should be able to do the same thing. I would have posted a link but it was doing some weird formatting to it so this is less confusing.

A quick Google search came up with this. Not sure why you were having so much trouble finding one.
  6. Most of the people in the thread are long gone. It is a six years old. Basically if your Spark is a 13, 14, or 15 they arent going to do anything with it. They have moved on to the newer models. I never had recirculate problems but the air never really worked all that well during the hot part of the summer. i think there was a major design flaw with the size of the compressor that they couldn't fix.
  7. Are you still on the original battery? When the battery starts to get weak they have really weird electrical issues. Being its a 2017 and if you are on the original battery its probably going bad.
  8. What year Spark do you have? There was a recall for 2014 and 2015 CVT's for reprogramming but I know of nothing else.
  9. This post is 4 1/2 years old. Most people who posted back then are long gone. You might try Google searching and see if it comes up there.
  10. Welcoming people that posted well over a year ago. That makes sense lol
  11. So a word of warning. I know on the 2013, 2014 and 2015's you can't swap out factory radios. I can only guess they continued that with the later models. GM put out a bulletin that stated that you were not to use certain electronics from other like Sparks. One of those were the radio. The radio is embedded with an electronic key that ties it to that car VIN. If you change components and don't reprogram the new component it may work or not work. If it works it will be only temporarily and multiple issues will start to show.
  12. I hope you didn't try and hook that up. When I had to replace mine the only place I could find that had a factory replacement was Autozone.
  13. So you replied to a thread that is over five years old. If you need a complete windshield then I use Safelite. but why are replying to a wiper thread. Start a new topic and ask about a windshield replacement.
  14. I got rid of my 2014 Spark in May. i loved that car but the main issue I had was other drivers. i cannot tell you how many times I got ran off the road, pulled in front of or got cut in front of. Why I have no idea. It just kept getting worse. It had almost 90,000 on it when I traded it in and it was still going strong. I ended up getting a 2017 Ford Escape that I love. Its not a large SUV but the road issues I was having with other drivers stopped. Its really strange. But I will say Oklahoma drivers are pretty bad in general anyway lol.
  15. I think you needed something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Lisle-48400-Brake-Clip-Tool/dp/B000HTNQ6O/ref=sr_1_25?keywords=drum+brake+tools&qid=1575903407&sr=8-25
  16. i wonder if you were sold the wrong actuator. Some of the ones I find online have that white plastic piece sticking out of it. This shows to fit from Rock Auto. https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=7619668&cc=3308760&jsn=8
  17. i wonder if it would be possible to have one 3D printed.
  18. Can you post the video on YouTube or some other video hosing site? This is your first post here and there is no way I am downloading a video to view nor should anybody else.
  19. Actually he had it backwards. If its flashing then it is critical because it is in a misfire condition. This can cause damage to the engine. If its solid then it can be driven and could be a number of things. The other things mentioned is correct. This is one of many articles I found on misfires. Flashing Check Engine Light The rule of thumb is that if the check engine light is flashing, you can't keep driving the car. It's an emergency. Often it indicates an engine misfire. If you keep driving, you will likely cause irreversible damage, mostly to the (expensive) catalytic con
  20. I buy just the regular gas. My understanding is that the higher octane is not needed for most engines and its the same additives added to all the different grades of gas. At least thats my understanding of it all.
  21. I agree with Blue. What code? Was the check engine light flashing or just on? If it was flashing then its an active misfire. If it was just on then it could be anything. The first thing you should have done it retrieved the code and then did some searching. Always arm yourself with as much knowledge as possible before taking it somewhere to be fixed whether its the dealership or an independent garage. Most of the time if I have to take my car in I know whats wrong or at least have an idea. That way I know when they start feeding me a bunch of crap. As far as getting a lawyer you a
  22. Your mechanic may have told you this already but usually the P0300 codes are fuel related. In this case P0301 points to an issue with cylinder one. If you were getting a P0300 code then that would mean random misfires across all cylinders. Thats the advantage of using top tier gas. Typically they will have more cleaners and detergents in them to keep the system and injectors clean. A check engine light on can cause other weird issues. I had a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer that would occasionally set a light which in turn would disable the cruise control. So in your case maybe having a mi
  23. Then I would suggest a wiper removal tool. Looks like a small gear puller. Local auto store should have them. Here are a couple I found on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Amon-Tech-Windscreen-Remover-Removal/dp/B01HJBM2WG/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?keywords=wiper+removal+tool&qid=1574367612&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzNThJVDhIMEFRMEdPJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwNTU0Mzg1MU5COFJRQVA1SUJGNCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjc0MTY0MU1DOVg4Vko3TVNYOCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= https://www.amazon.com/OTUAYAUTO-Battery-Term
  24. Watch this video. This is a little different because its the foreign version of the Spark but it should be the same. I personally would use a wiper arm removal tool but this would work in a pinch.
