  1. I just did a tube removal. Took loose the air filter box pulled to to the side a little and then reached down and took the snap in tube out if the resonator box. It took all of 10 minutes. That included getting my ratchet and 10mm socket ready. It's a cool day today and I didn't notice much performance difference, but my mileage seems to have gone up on the DIC. I drove a 15 mile loop before then after the mod. Before I got 41.5mpg after I got 44.7mpg. That alone is worth it. Another benefit was the motor just sounds better when accelerating. If I ever need to take it in for warranty work it
  2. Another dumb question, since the factory front speakers were 8 ohm and the KS40's are 4 ohm what will that do to the radio's amp? Should I find some 8 ohm speakers?
  3. Got the front speakers installed today, I went ahead and flipped the wires, it sounds so much better now with the Kicker KS40 speakers, hopefully the rear ones will come in tomorrow.
  4. Went to the dealer to have the bogging checked out, of course they couldn't get it to do it and I couldn't either, but it was a very cool morning, it was 58 when I got to the dealer.
  5. Before I read this I had already ordered the wrong ones.If you are replacing all 4 speakers do you still need to flip the wires? All 4 speakers will be the same phase won't they?
  6. I was reading in another thread and several commented about the same thing when it gets hot. So it must be related. Check the mods section and the thread about modifying the air box.http://chevysparkforum.com/topic/1257-intake-mod-wow/#
  7. Thanks, how easy are the two panels the rear speakers are mounted in to take off?
  8. Hey guys, I am also disappointed at the sound, what size speakers are they and what brand do you recommend? How hard are they to swap out? Never mind found another thread on it. Thanks.
  9. Will do. By the way it got up into the 90's this afternoon and it did it 3 or 4 times on me. I am wondering now if outside temperature may affect it.
  10. Unfortunately he never said they had fixed one, only mine wasn't the first time they had heard of it.
  11. Took my car in this morning I talked to a different service advisor than the last time. He said they have had several come in with the same complaint. I now have an appointment next Wednesday to check it out. Funny thing is it didn't do it one time going to the dealership and back home this morning.
  12. Thanks,I haven't had time to take it in yet, but last time I was there I mentioned it to the service advisor and he kind of implied it was normal. I messaged another rep on here last night with my information and full description of the problem.
  13. I have just had mine for a month and a half and the highest was on a trip to West Virginia on the interstate doing between 65 and 70 mph I got 43mpg with a 2014 CVT. Normally around town with some highway I have been getting around 35-36mpg.
  14. I just wonder why it's just every once in a while? Seems strange that most of the time it's normal yet sometimes it just does not want to pull out, like the transmission does not go back to the lowest gear or whatever you call it in a CVT.
